We don't do steak houses usually because we can make a killer steak at home and this restaurant just reminded us again as to why we don't go. The cost of the steak was obscenely high for the low quality of filet that was provided. I am a chef and likely can tell a difference that most cannot, I do get that. While the steak was cooked to a medium the outside was so charred that every bite included an extremely dry piece of meat that was separating like pot roast. So I had to cut off the top and bottom of the steak in order to make it edible. The steak tartar was my favorite along with the carrot cake that we took to go, and the gratin potatoes. Mac and Cheese was dry, Caesar salad had no anchovies despite being requested. My partners Ribeye which was listed as heavily marbled was not marbled at all, just fat on the ends, the meat was not overcooked, but was extremely tough to chew so again, it is a quality issue. You can get a USDA Prime Ribeye from Costco for roughly $12 each and these folks are charging upwards $80. So glad I didn't try their Wagyu. We will not return but I am sure others will still find this place to suit just fine.

Have loved Hyde Park since they came to downtown Indianapolis! This was not my first outing. Our food was absolutely delicious, our waitress was very friendly and catered to us like we were her only customer. The decor is beautiful and the staff was great, even for the restaurant being so busy on New Year’s Eve. I have and will continue to refer others to this establishment. Happy New Year!🥳

We had dinner on Christmas Eve and it was wonderful. We sat at a high top and the chairs were just as comfortable as standard seating. We ordered the lobster escargot style as an appetizer and it was fabulous. For dinner we split the Reggie Wayne steak with a side of asparagus. Everything was perfectly prepared. They also honored my request to not add additional salt to the steak, which I appreciated. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Cocktails, apps and ambiance were all good. The mains were, in my opinion, not worth the price paid, not bad, but not great. For $175+ per person, I will go elsewhere next time.

Our wait staff were excellent. Very attentive, but not intrusive. The ahi tuna tower was excellent. The steaks were undercooked for two of the members of our party, which threw off the pace of our dinner. Sides were no longer hot when the steaks were “fixed”. Didn’t have time for dessert since we had to wait for the steaks to be corrected.
