We went for early dinner. And found the restaurant was extremely quiet, possibly due to the time frame of being shortly after the holiday season. Our server was pleasant and helpful, as we wanted to enjoy the potato crusted fish dish with coos couscous that we had had previously and enjoyed very much. We decided to have the starter of the calamari, which was also very tasty, however, prior to completing the starter, our main meals arrived. Rather than create a commotion, we decided to allow them to serve us. We'd likely should have sent it back. But we did not want to waste the food or inconvenience the kitchen's staff. It was disappointing because we wanted to have a leisurely dinner between us and felt hurried along although 80 or 90 percent of the restaurant was empty. Our server agreed that it should not have come out that quickly but she missed the kitchen staff bringing our food out and was enabled to stop them. We also enjoyed the molten chocolste souffle which was as delicious as the last time that we enjoyed it. Our feeling is that being a hotel restaurant, particularly with the notariety of Roy Yamaguchi that the restaurant charged high-end prices but failed to deliver high end service and ambience. Comparing it to places like the Four Seasons or the Fairmont, the prices were just as high for the meals, but it fell short of expectations in the same price range. Inconclusion the food was exceptional but the restaurant in itself is somewhat disappointing.

The food is always good at Roy Yamaguchi restaurants. Humble Market Kitchin was no exception. Our server was a very nice person. The reason I am giving it four instead of five stars is that the wait between receiving our appetizer and our entree was extremely long. I don’t know what caused the delay nor did the staff who finally brought out the food acknowledge the delay.

One of the best options on Wailea! Wonderful service with good recommendations given by server. Comfortable seating with plenty of room for all of our orders. Food was fantastic as always. Fresh seafood deliciously prepared with lovely sides and sauces. Only deducted value points for the kids menu which has almost doubled in price from last year (now $22!). Still an ok deal considering it comes with half a cheese quesadilla and sundae.

This was a very disappointing dinner. The restaurant presents as an independent restaurant that happens to be located at the Marriott. But unfortunately, the reality is just the opposite. When you arrive, you are basically eating in the Marriott lobby and the food quality is representative of a typical Marriott, not a brand-name, well known chef. As a consequence, the food is greatly overpriced for what you are getting. I have eaten at a number of the other hotel restaurants over the years (at the Fairmont, Grand Wailea, Four Seasons, Andaz, etc.). Those restaurants are similarly priced but far, far better. Honestly, it's not even close. I would definitely recommend taking that nice walk down the road under the huge monkeypod trees to the Marriott hotel -- but do NOT eat at the restaurant. Just turn around when you get to the hotel lobby, walk back up that hill and go somewhere else.

NYE buffet was a fail. Wish they had stations cooking entreeʻs instead of sending out small bites on bamboo plates. Not using china for a special occasion for $185 didnʻt feel like a match!

The service here is so exceptional- especially Anna Maia and Noelle the bartender. They always go above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. And the entire staff is so nice every time we come. The food is excellent with the fresh Mahi and farm salad as our favorites!! The drinks are amazing - some of the best on the Island. We will be back - often!! Mahalo to the Humble Kitchin team!!

We had a 8:30pm reservation at this restaurant. The host called us to confirm the appointment and told us the kitchen will be closing at 8:30pm so moved our reservation to 8pm. When we reached there for 8pm reservation, they mentioned that our reservation was at 8:30pm and that kitchen actually closes at 9:15pm. We were made to wait until for 20 mins even though it wasn’t busy. We had a really bad experience.
