The setting in the blues house is nice and when busy I imagine has a good atmosphere. The food is simple but good quality and priced fairly. Unfortunately on this visit the service let it down. Considering how quiet the place was, (20% full) the service was very slow and quite inattentive. Our server seemed like she really didn’t want to serve us, as if we were an inconvenience. Yet, the expectation/entitlement to a tip was still there.

The food was good but the brisket wasn’t cut at all it was very stringy like spaghetti so it was hard to eat. It tasted great. Our server also forgot our gumbo and we didn’t realize until after we left so that was partially our fault but the fact they didn’t write down our order may have contributed to that. The music was great. The ambiance was also awesome.
