We arrived quite early, an what annoyed me thoroughly was that despite the place being empty we were not allowed to be seated where we wanted to be. We were just a couple, so they would not seat us at a table with 4 chairs. Most tables in this venue have 4 chairs, leaving very few choices. And what really, REALLY annoyed me was that they then proceeded to seat several other groups of 2 in these tables with 4 chairs. I felt entirely disrespected! I will NEVER be back! I should have walked right then and there when I was being disrespected, but my wife wanted to hear some blues. To be fair, the musician really was excellent. But Chicago has lots of choices for blues and jazz, and you don't have to be a cog in their corporate machine. Just say NO! Go somewhere else where you are respected.

The food was absolutely delicious. Their coleslaw is unique and amazing. It's so creamy with a hint of dill. The fried chicken was crispy and very very juicy. Be aware the Bourbon Bread Pudding for two is enough for 4 but is succulent. We happily enjoyed the leftovers later. The sauce is not to sweet and is perfect with the pudding.
