Our second ever HopCat location opened back in 2013! Located right outside of Michigan State University's campus and around the corner from the MSU Union, this location features multiple TVs to make sure you’ll have the best seat in the house to catch the Spartans.

HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love. We’re known for our award-wining Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce. From burgers to tacos, our menu offers a range of delicious options.

    We had some issues on this visit to HopCat. Some of the items on the menu were not actually available, our appetizers took 45 mins to arrive and only did so 5 mins before our meal. These issues left us feeling like we weren’t getting what we really wanted and a little hangry by the time our food arrived. The next time we are in East Lansing we will be looking for a different option.

    Although we were seated quickly and received our drink order without difficulty…it went downhill from there.it took almost an hour to get our food and much of it had to be returned to the kitchen because it was cold! They did comp us a couple of things, but all in all it was a terrible experience!

    Savanna was excellent! She was very nice and patient when members of our party arrived late. Our drinks were never empty and she answered tons of questions for us.

    We were in East Lansing visiting the University. We were on Yelp looking for a place with good burgers. We decided on stopping at Hopcat after reading some of the positive feedback. There was three in our party and we all had the BYOB. The burgers were delicious and the fries just as well. I recommend Hopcat if you’re looking for a tasty burger.
