   Great food in an old school seafood house. Good ambiance with a well stocked bar. Abby was very attentive and did a great job. Parking at this place can be scarce, and it's in a bit of a seedy part of Costa Mesa. Would definitely go back.

   Fun casual atmosphere with excellent service ! Been on the hunt for a great clam chowder and Hook and Anchor did not disappoint! We will be back

   A late lunch birthday - nice wine, loaded seafood salads, hot coffee and a sweet dessert - a great place to catch up with an old friend.

   Amazing service and even better food. The clam chowder and lobster Mac & cheese were amazing. The shrimp Alfredo was perfect and the lobster roll was the best I’ve ever had, perfectly toasted roll and buttery lobster. They made my mother’s birthday extra special and if I could I would give 6 star.

   My family loves this place. Super friendly and attentive staff, great food, quality cocktails, and amazing oyster selection. My parents started going sometime last year, and my wife and I have been back with them at least 4 times since. Never disappoints.

   Visited here for lunch to catch-up with a friend as an alternative seafood restaurant now that Santa Monica Seafood (our usual meet-up spot) in Costa Mesa has closed after almost 30 years. Pleasantly surprised by the different fresh seafood offerings on the menu. Everything was well prepared and fresh tasting. Service was outstanding.

   If you haven't been to Hook & Anchor yet, make your plans to go soon. Their Lobster Roll is an incredibly delicious treat not to be missed and their Clam Chowder is like no other. We can't wait to go back to have another great evening of fine food and service. Thank you Hook & Anchor.

    If you like scallops, be sure to ask for them. They are not on the menu in the restaurant. They are only on the online menu. The scallops are excellent. The side dish of seasonal vegetables is the best mix of zucchini, squash, and carrots that I've had in a long time. The salad was fresh and flavorful. I liked everything that I ordered and would definitely would come back.
