   Excellent food and service. We had the chef's fish special and the filet. Both meals were outstanding. We went after sunset and still had a beautiful view of the ocean. This restaurant is fabulous. We try to get there 1-2 times per week.

   While on Maui for our annual early spring visit we always dine at Honu at least once. The seaside location beautiful view of Lana’i, excellent service and outstanding food make this one of the best places to dine on the island. My wife and I started with the Buratta cheese with balsamic glaze and the ahi bruschetta, followed by the special for the night - a Monchong served with risotto and blackberry burr blanc. Accompanied by a nice Sauvignon Blanc, we were in gastronomical heaven! My wife and I can’t say enough good things about this dining experience - and while we described what we ate this time, we can attest to the fact that everything on the menu is sublime!

   Honu sits right on the water looking out at boats with the sun setting. A light breeze blows through the open air windows (with shades to soften the bright sunlight). We sat at the bar and enjoyed great cocktails and a delicious dinner. Housemade macarons were spectacular dessert.

   The catch of the day and scallops were extraordinary. We were fortunate to be seated by the ocean. Food is comparable to Merrimans and Mama’s Fishhouse

   Wonderful food with a great location in Lahaina. Like many finer dining places in Hawaii - prices are elevated but you do get what you pay for in this case. Great service - friendly and efficient.

   The best restaurant on Maui, by far. The server, the view , the staff and if course the food were on point. We had a beautiful view and our server Jerry was very helpful. Do yourself a favor and order the octopus and the cioppino. One of the owners ever walked around making sure everything was just right Make sure to book far in advance.

    It’s a lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting overlooking the ocean. We sat at the bar and had drinks. The drinks were just ok, and we noticed the bartender was not measuring the ingredients for the drinks, just winging it. We both ordered the special fish and when we got our plates, the fish servings were two completely different sizes. The smaller piece was overcooked and the larger one, perfectly cooked. We ordered a chocolate dessert to share and it was overly rich and not very tasty. I hate writing a bad review, but they really need some fine tuning.
