Honu is our favorite restaurant on Maui and have visited several times over the years and so glad to see it is back open after the horrible fire. Food is excellent and being right on the ocean is incredible. Sea turtles are right next to it for entertainment! You can’t go wrong at Honu

This has been one of our Favorite restaurants since it opened. We still enjoyed it a lot after it had been sold pre fire. However, tonights meal was a big disappointment Prices are way up and quality is down. The Ahi on the Ahi Bruchetta did not have alot of flavor. Not just not as good as pre first but not as good as same dish next door. Greek Salad. Many of the tomatoes were mealy. Ended up leaving most of them in bowl. No comment from waiter about why I didnt eat them. Also dressing was very "light". Not the little bit of vinegar and other things showing through that one usually sees in Greek Salad. Kale salad was good. Mushroom Pizza was biggest disappointment. Used to be a Pizza with lots of mushrooms. Hard to find may mushrooms and lots and lots of cheese. Too much cheese. Middle of pizza was not cooked through and soggy. Butterscotch pot de creme was ok. Not great, but not bad. Double Expresso came out lukewarm. So 2 salads, 2 piece Ahi Brucetta, one pizza, one desert, one double expresso and one drink $170 with tip. Dont mind payng that, Just minded paying it for a restaurant that was not close to either of its previous incarnations.

We have been coming here for years and this is one of our favorite restaurants on Maui. From the hostess when you walk in the door to the wait staff to the bus boys clearing tables, everyone makes you feel welcome. We are pretty light eaters so we usually share our dishes. We started with the Ahi bruschetta (we could make a meal out of the four piece portion). We were going to order the fish and chips and our server suggested that the Monchong the staff tasted before opening that day was delicious. And it was! Probably the best meal we have had on Maui in years. Our split portion came with the same care and attention to detail as the full portion. The fish was cooked properly and with nice light sear marks and the sauce complimented the fish perfectly. Thank you chef! We already have our reservations to return here again this trip.

We love the new Honu Oceanside experience! We've been going to this wonderful place since it opened oh so long ago. The new decor, menu, and chef have made it even better! We loved every dish!
