   Simply amazing. What an incredible dining experience. Goes without saying the food is incredible, but the curated experience is just as special. The chefs prepare everything in front of you, there are introductions to every dish, explanations on how they were sourced, etc. etc. etc. You can ask questions throughout the experience, which makes it even more cozy and engaging. Highly recommend the omakase experience.

   This was the greatest dining experience of my life. The food was amazing. The staff was so kind and attentive. I took so many pictures and nothing does it justice. I can't wait to go back.

   I am running out of superlatives when describing the Omakase experience at Hikari. As far as I am concerned it is the only high-end dining place in Davis worthy of the name. On my last visit I was accompanied by a couple of friends who enjoyed it to the utmost. Although they are Japanese food lovers this was a new and marvelous experience for them. If you want to treat somebody to a great dining experience I suggest you take them to Hikari.

   It was a perfect evening. Everything from the service to the space was immaculate. The food was excellent and beautiful and the chef could not have been more professional and kind and welcoming.

   Booked out all 12 seats for my birthday. We did the 4:30 pm omakase meal. It was probably the best food I’ve ever had. Wonderful staff, they gave a great education on the different dishes and were kind and helpful. Some of us had dietary restrictions and they worked with that. I would go again any day of the week. Incredible food and ambience

   Amazing experience. Unique and delicious food with a focus on health and sustainability. Chef does a great job explaining the story behind each dish. Service is flawless. Please support this great restaurant!

    If you are looking for a great dining experience in Davis, Hikari is the place to go. The chef and his team are passionate about their work. They go out of their way to get the best ingredients and pay minute attention to every detail. One thing I have not commented in the past is the team's devotion to sustainability. In the words of chef Tun "nothing goes to waste". This was my 10th Omakase dinner at Hikari and it was just as memorable as the first.
