   We have been a long term patrons of both High Tides, we prefer the Steelyard for a little less drive. We dine out a lot, every weekend and some week days. This visit was our last try to keep a old favourite in our dining choices, We were seated on time and our server was great on time and helpful, I ordered the sea bass special and the rest of the table had a variety of entree ‘s, the appetiser was on time and great. We waited 40 minutes for a salad and my sea bass special had been under a warmer for a while, we waited approximately 5 minutes more for the rest to be served. The sea bass was black on the bottom and over done a lot. The great server was very apologetic and returned to the kitchen with the plate, minuets late she returned to say the special was sold out. Sorry not the experience we were hoping for.

   We were greeted and our reserved table was waiting for us. Our servers were warm and friendly, made great recommendations, and checked to be sure we were happy with our selections. The noise level was a little high, but it created a fun, social atmosphere. The food was plentiful, and "take home" boxes were available. But, most of all, the food was outstanding. We had a lovely time and a delicious meal. I also should comment that I have an elderly mother who uses a walker. The location was great for a front door "drop off," and the staff helped with doors and storing her walker while dining. Great place. We will return,

   Tried something new this time, the shrimp pasta. Great taste and the shrimp were huge! Enjoyed a salad and a firecracker roll as appetizer. Topped off with a glass pear martini.

   Appetizer of sushi and poke, along with Seabass entree were great. That’s where it ended, sat at high top table in bar area cucumber martini had too much lime, wanted a second drink waiter never came back until well into dinner. New year’s special fish dish over cooked and bland, couscous side was so salty it was terrible, mussels and crab topping that came with it was only edible thing on plate. 40 minutes for homemade fried chicken and it was hot but not very tasteful. Last time going to High Tides! So much for a nice New Years Eve dinner!

   Food was great. Atmosphere very nice. New Year’s Eve. Waiter was very cold. No personality or interaction with us. Put drinks on table, just walked away. Food was great.halibut fish and chips along with gumbo. Came around twice,asked once is everything ok. Wine glass empty as was the ice tea. No offer to have another. I ordered another wine. Brought to table no communication and I asked about the ice tea refill. Be right there. Five minutes later manager walked by. I asked him for the ice tea. Very pleasant and was back within ten seconds.he was very helpful. We go there all the time. The service was a poor experience and made the rest of evening not so great. Ted 808 348 1534

   The entire staff work together under a common mission to support tailoring our dinner experience. Sitting at the Raw Bar gives you an amazing insight into the harmonious collaboration which produces the level of service we look forward to on an evening out.

   The oysters were wonderful! The sashimi excellent. Would prefer sashimi be cut thinner. Our server Shizuka was very nice and efficient!

    Went there for an after-Christmas seafood dinner with my 86 yo mother and aunt who had been there only once for lunch. Loved the atmosphere and decor. The booth was nice. Great menu options with something for everyone. LOVED the 1/2 lb crab leg dinner - so good! It takes a lot to impress my aunt but she enjoyed the meal, as well.
