A creative nod to Fenway Hotel’s original architect, Herman Everett Wendell. To ‘hew’ also means to cut or chop.
Comprised of three show-stopping elements, each identified with a slightly different rhythm. Discover our intimate parlor bar, showcasing an extensive whisky and Scotch collection inspired by Dunedin’s Scottish heritage. A lively lounge atmosphere is accentuated by water views.

Chophouse cuts and chef-driven seasonal preparations. Authentic and far from stuffy. This is the new neighborhood gathering spot.

    this place was great. We started with the 1927 salad and then shared the fillet and the lobster tail and I had an order of carrots and brussels sprouts with it. Everything was great. Great place you guys need to check it out.  also the hostess was very accommodating and our waitress was incredible.

    This was the perfect destination for a birthday brunch. Food and service were amazing and Jeremy is a talented saxophonist! We will be returning again and again.

    Unfortunately, the noise level in the restaurant was almost done intolerable. The waitress apologized for it several times, but said she couldn’t do anything about it. There were two large parties having a good time which is understandable, but the restaurant is not able to handle that noise level in fact, we could not even hear each other speak the entire meal. If they’re gonna have large parties, they should move them to a different room.

    We just went for our 6th wedding anniversary and had a fantastic meal! We've been over the years and a few years ago it felt like the value for what you were getting wasn't what it once was. This time, the meal and menu were absolutely spectacular. Our sever was delightful, everything was delicious, the wine was reasonably priced. The only drawback was a table of really intoxicate middle aged men whose voices/conversation carried throughout the restaurant. Obviously not anyone's fault but theirs. I highly recommend checking out or returning to Hew!

    Went for brunch. Food was not good—greasy, tasteless fritter and extremely salty entree. Service was slow and had to ask for water refills multiple times.

    Went for Valentines Day at 9:30 pm with reservations. Dining room was about half full at most. Service took a long time and our server was almost non-existent, we saw her once before getting our check. The food took a long time to get but was good. We saw one table out of fifteen that had food at their table while we waited. The atmosphere was stale and there was no bread or the like while we waited, although we could have ordered an appetizer. We are within walking distance so will give it another time someday but was disappointed with the service and overall experience especially when notifying them we were celebrating Valentines and anniversary. The cocktails at the bar (inside) were worth going back for anytime.

    I do not often complaint about poor service, but this time I feel I must. The night started out okay; our waitress was very sweet and thorough. But seems that as soon as we ordered and did not order the any drinks or the most expensive menu item(s), she totally dropped the ball on us. Not only did she never, and I mean never, come back to check on us after we got our food, she was floating around the room and particularly at one table of young couples. Maybe she thought the tip there would be bigger, so she focused there. Anyway, regardless, she left us HIGH AND DRY! Not only did we not have salt and pepper which we later requested by another waitress passing by our table, my steak was a bit too rare (I would have requested another 3-4 minutes on the grill) and my partner's food was lukewarm at best. We waited and waited and she finally came over with the bill and after we quickly declined to see the dessert menu. After spending an outrageous $180 on an "unfit" meal, we were extremely disappointed and will not come back again to your restaurant.

    The drinks and mushroom tartine were excellent. The burgers were cooked perfectly. We asked for all condiments on the side and we were a couple bites in when Wouk mouths started burning from the barbecue sauce they didn’t put on the side. The manager took it off the bill. I’m used to better attention to detail at Hew.
