Amazing experience! Food was incredible. Service from bar tender while we waited for our table was brilliant. Waitress served us impeccably throughout. We even got a small token of chocolates to celebrate our anniversary!

Very expensive meal - a service charge must have been added which we were not made aware of. The restaurant itself was lovely and the atmosphere was great. But the food was underwhelming. The chips reminded me of frozen oven chips. Service was a bit slow but the restaurant was busy. This was our first visit to Hawksmoor but I don’t think I would return. I don’t normally write reviews but I was disappointed with a much anticipated meal.

Went for a Sunday dinner and was nearly £400 for 4 people. This included 2 pints, bottle of wine and roast dinner for 4 people. This was because we took the offer of upgrading the steak but this wasn’t disclosed it then meant we also had to pay an extra £10 per person for all the trimmings. How can you upgrade a cut of meat and have to then pay for all the sides extra?? The meat came undercooked and overall the value of the food was shocking. I’ll stick to a normal steak in future if it means I have to pay that much.

My first visit was very good overall. The service was polite and prompt. We requested a bottle of sparkling water which came nicely chilled, but with no ice or lemon unfortunately. The bottle of tap water similarly. We both had the Sunday Roast. We were not offered any condiments such as Horseradish or mustard and had to request these. Also unfortunately the small jugs of the delicious gravy were only half full,, it really needed to be filled more adequately to compliment the meal as it should have. The portions were more than adequate, indeed my partner struggled a little to finish it. We would be more than happy to return, however we would attempt it on a week day and hope it less busy.

We wanted to have a lovely meal to celebrate. Overall food service was slow - both starters and mains. Restaurant did not look too busy, restaurant was not at full capacity. Value for money, not sure. Sides costing £6-£7 was fine except eg we only got around half a regular potato for chips placed in a small metal kids-sized cup (sized like the colourful ones you get at ikea) sitting in a cones shaped grease paper, further restricting quantity. Same for fries version. We also had brusselsprouts good with bacon, but we only got 5 in quantity. 5 cows in blanket, equivalent to cocktail sausage-sized. best to end with a positive despite above, the steaks were very good (but it was £39 for c.350grams).
