   Overall disappointed with our meal. The setting/ambience is lovely and staff were excellent, however our steak was such a disappointment, we ordered medium-rare but it was definitely rare, to the point were it was stone cold before we even got to finish eating, also wasn’t nicely caramelised on the outside and the bits of fat were so chewy. For sides we had the mash, chips and blue cheese sauce which we all excellent. The creamed spinach was only ok. We also had two starters one of which was fantastic and one was very average. I think for the prices charged and quality of the raw ingredient it is such a shame that it was let down by the cooking.

   Had a fantastic experience here, the starters were delicious. The steak was perfect, really enjoyed the beef dripping chips and the macaroni and cheese. The deserts were also great and really good value. The service was some of the best we have ever experienced. The staff were all welcoming, warm and attentive, from the doorman to the hostess and wait staff. Would really recommend this place to everyone. Cocktails were also tasty and we found it great value for money.

   Rib eye is dry, half of the steak is overcooked and it was more like medium instead of medium rare. Specifically asked for a steak with more marbles,waiter apparently didn’t told kitchen or he did but the kitchen didn’t care. Not bothered giving feedback when the waiter asked about the food, a steakhouse that couldn’t cook STEAK on a basic standard. Not coming back.

   Dear Hawksmoor Team, I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent dining experience at your Dublin restaurant, where my family and I celebrated a special birthday. Unfortunately, the service did not meet our expectations. Service Issues: •Seating and Attention: We were seated near the wait station in a busy hallway. Despite this, our empty glasses often went unnoticed, requiring us to repeatedly request refills. •Staff Interaction: We observed a noticeable difference in the demeanor of the team leaders and waitstaff towards our table compared to others. While neighboring tables received warm interactions, we felt a lack of engagement and warmth. •Special Requests: Prior to our visit, we had requested a simple dish of plain pasta with butter and grilled chicken seasoned with only salt and pepper, as well as a whole lobster with lemon butter on the side. These requests were declined with a firm “no can do,” and when the lobster was served, it was only half and accompanied by sauce, contrary to our request. •Birthday Acknowledgment: I had noted in our reservation a desire to celebrate my wife’s birthday, specifically requesting that her name be included on a dessert and that staff join us in singing. Regrettably, this was not acknowledged during our visit, and the dessert was served without the appropriate cutlery. Dining Experience: •Table Settings: We encountered dirty glasses, an empty pepper shaker, and cold plates accompanying the main course, which caused the food to cool rapidly. •Service Execution: There was a tendency to place items on our table without engagement or eye contact, making the service feel perfunctory rather than attentive. We understand that occasional oversights can occur; however, the combination of these issues during such a significant occasion was particularly disappointing. We chose Hawksmoor for its acclaimed service and dining experience, and it is regrettable that our visit did not reflect this.
