Really enjoyed our time at Hawksmoor. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was lovely and the atmosphere was just right. We only had time for a quick bite but the food options were good and the value was excellent. We'll be back. Thank you.

The surf and turf was gorgeous, thw lobster was not overly done in butter like most places, cooked so well - we were really impressed especially round the busy Christmas season, the med rare filet steaks were crusted on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside again super impressed, the sides were top notch (fries, mc & cheese and garlic mushrooms) ... starters were so large and the tastes were gorgeous crab 10/10. Desserts were fabulous and presented Powell. The staff tho, from start to finish were AMAZING, they really make the place what it is, from the bar man, to the waiters, all were so good, defo will be back for the surf & tuff alone. Thanks all for a fabulous birthday meal for my hubby.

Very overpriced! Fillet steak sent back twice with huge amount of fat & sinew. For almost €50 it was a poor offering. Comes with a “sauce”- stock with floating peppercorns. It just ran all over the plate. Nothing else for that price- all the sides are extra. The sides I ordered were taken with my first steak and I had to pay for them again when the second steak came. The staff were inattentive. When they did come it was to passive aggressively ask for the table back despite not having brought the bill. Hard to find a reason to want to go back other than the history of the building! Very disappointing!

Went for a birthday celebration and couldn’t have been happier. Perfect for the steak lover in your life! Service was outstanding, our server went above and beyond for us without us even asking.

Amazing experience - could have had more Christmas decorations but food and everything was brilliant, they brought a candle out for my friends birthday with happy birthday written on the plate. Best steak I’ve ever had!

Review for Hawksmoor I recently dined at Hawksmoor and, unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. The evening started on a disappointing note with an extremely poor delay in drinks service—nearly 30 minutes, which is unacceptable for a restaurant of this calibre. To add to the frustration, the wrong steaks were delivered to our table, creating further delays and disrupting the flow of the meal. That said, I do want to commend the manager, who handled the situation with professionalism. They took the initiative to address our concerns and removed the 12.5% service charge, which was a thoughtful gesture. Despite the manager’s efforts, the overall experience was very poor, and I left feeling let down. For the price point and reputation, I expected far better. I hope they can address these issues moving forward.

Christmas lunch with my husband yesterday. First time in Hawksmoor and was excited to try it out. First the positives: Room stunning and wonderful to see such careful renovation of a gorgeous building. Beef cooked chips were wonderful if a very small serving. Interesting wine list (at huge mark ups- but im used to this in Dublin). The wine server was very sweet, informed and enthusiastic. Unfortunately, everything else was very average. Starters of crab and ribs looked like something thrown together by an amateur cook in a rush. At €18/19, you would expect more and I would not get either again. Chateaubriand was fine but not spectacular and a bit cold, small portion of tepid pepper sauce (extra charge) was fairly tasteless. Meagre portion sizes of sides (chips, Caesar salad and mac and cheese) relative to cost. The Caesar was very tasty though! Service was only ok (wine waiter aside- who was great), with no attempt made to make the experience stand out. Very peculiar to have wait staff wearing their own clothes (and some dubious choices) at a restaurant of this level. All in all, it would have been fine for 100€ or so less. But at this price there are better options. I truly hope this is constructive feedback- as it would be a terrible shame if this beautiful dining room in the middle of Dublin is not successful. We aim to try it again outside the Christmas period- hopefully it will have more Impact then.
