Excellent as always. Staff are so pleasant and helpful in a very natural way. Every one seems to be a bit of an individual rather than a corporate clone. Monday night's BYOB is a great idea.

This was a lively place with what appeared to be a lot of "regulars," which I appreciated. My steak was done perfectly, the garlic mushrooms were excellent, and the mashed potatoes and gravy rounded out the perfect dinner. The tiramisu was outstanding and HUGE! The staff were all very friendly. I would definitely recommend and will return myself.

I went for the set menu of 3 courses for £35. Potted beef to start, followed by the rump steak with added peppercorn sauce, finished off with the sticky toffee pudding. Each course was excellent. Service was second to none. I’d highly recommend Hawksmoor at Air Street.

Really lovely lunch. However, I didn’t appreciate feeling ‘shamed’ in front of the table by the lady who I’m assuming maybe was the GM? After they had cleared the plates away this lady came back to our table and loudly said “the chef wants to know if there was an issue with your fish?” (As I hadn’t eaten all of my Dover sole) I didn’t appreciate being made to feel bad just because I didn’t eat the whole fish and in-front of everyone on our table? It would have maybe been better if it was done in a more subtle way and not in such an accusatory tone after I’d explained it was drowning in butter or something (when I’d asked for it not to be)? She then stated ‘no, we made sure there was no butter! Just olive oil! So what was it? Too much olive oil?” In truth yes! Far too much! I could barely taste the fish but I also just wasn’t that hungry, so please don’t make customers feel guilty for not polishing off everything on our plates! Or ask us as the plates are being cleared away, don’t make come back and demand an answer. Thank you. Our waiter however was lovely, a fantastic gentleman who went over and above when serving us and very personable. Drinks were great, didn’t feel rushed. Enjoyable other than the one mishap. Thanks.
