For entrees we had the snapper (tasty but small), the ribeye (tender and cooked perfectly) and the lobster jubilee which was the standout dish of the evening. The various kinds of seafood were all cooked perfectly, and the rice was delicious. The jubilee also contained a few pieces of jerk chicken, but the flavor did not really permeate the skin. The room is stunningly beautiful without feeling stuffy, and the service was attentive and friendly, even though we stayed past closing time. Parking was easy with spot hero. The second you walk in your senses are enveloped with a hug of beauty, sophistication, and exquisite ambience. The sleek velvet couches, juxtaposed by earthy wood, and sexy mood lighting create the prefect date night, friend hang or celebrations. The playlist was energetic and lively at the perfect volume. In an unexpected delight Marcus was eating at the center high top and was so genuinely kind, friendly and as vibrant as his restaurant. We were taken care of by our server, J who was on top of her game with recommendations and the way they explained the dishes - you wanted to order everything on the menu. For drinks old fashions did not disappoint. We landed on the Hav Bread Basket (just do it - every piece is distinct and you do really need to explore them all!), the Swediopian (Swedish Ethiopian Berbere- cured salmon) was chef’s kiss amazing- our experience the seasoning, broth, and cucumber and avocado were perfection, unexpected and innovative. Our expectations were high and not disappointed with what followed. The mushroom curry was exquisite, beautifully portioned unexpected sweet from the coconut and savory from what ever magic was used to prepare! The biriyani crab rice was so aromatic, and flavorful, fluffy with hidden pieces of crispy rice. Finally last but not least BBQ broccolini - sophisticated complex flavors that tickle all of your tastebuds. We did not make it to dessert but will be back in May and will bring friends to experience more of the insanely curated symphony of flavors so carefully considered. Thank you to the amazing chefs that clearly poured so much love into the preparation. The staff was so friendly and funny! Thursday, March 20th, Fariyal Abdullahi, Executive Chef of Hav & Mar and 2025 James Beard Foundation semi-finalist Best Chef: New York State will be hosting an all-star lineup of female chefs for a special Fariyal & Friends Women’s History Month celebration.
Fariyal founded the dinner series to uplift and showcase underrepresented female voices in the culinary industry. She will welcome Chefs Maya-Camille Broussard, Adrienne Cheatham, Aretah Ettarh, Lana Lagomarsini and highlight Sous-Chef Diana Dizon of Hav & Mar with this iteration of the experience.
This one-night only celebration will be a plated 5-course tasting menu experience with each chef narrating their personal journey through food and featured beverages from Hav & Mar's women-led beverage team.
This event will highlight products from our partners Brooklyn Brewery, Baldor Specialty Foods, Chef's Warehouse and Pierless Fish.

Cornbread was incredible and I’m convinced the seafood cavatelli is one of the best pasta dishes you’ll find anywhere. A lot to explore on the menu - I’ll definitely be back.

Never do reviews but honestly- Hav & Mar is the BEST vibe that you never knew you needed. Parking was easy with spot hero. The second you walk in your senses are enveloped with a hug of beauty, sophistication, and exquisite ambience. The sleek velvet couches, juxtaposed by earthy wood, and sexy mood lighting create the prefect date night, friend hang or celebrations. The playlist was energetic and lively at the perfect volume. In an unexpected delight Marcus was eating at the center high top and was so genuinely kind, friendly and as vibrant as his restaurant. We were taken care of by our server, J who was on top of her game with recommendations and the way they explained the dishes - you wanted to order everything on the menu. For drinks old fashions did not disappoint. We landed on the Hav Bread Basket (just do it - every piece is distinct and you do really need to explore them all!), the Swediopian (Swedish Ethiopian Berbere- cured salmon) was chef’s kiss amazing- our experience the seasoning, broth, and cucumber and avocado were perfection, unexpected and innovative. Our expectations were high and not disappointed with what followed. The mushroom curry was exquisite, beautifully portioned unexpected sweet from the coconut and savory from what ever magic was used to prepare! The biriyani crab rice was so aromatic, and flavorful, fluffy with hidden pieces of crispy rice. Finally last but not least BBQ broccolini - sophisticated complex flavors that tickle all of your tastebuds. We did not make it to dessert but will be back in May and will bring friends to experience more of the insanely curated symphony of flavors so carefully considered. Thank you to the amazing chefs that clearly poured so much love into the preparation. The staff was so friendly and funny! Marcus continues to make exceptional food accessible all over the world and we are so fortunate to experience the artistry and passion he pours into all of his restaurants.

Chef Samuelson showed up and chatted with the patrons. Enough said! That guy is so cool.
But even without that, the food was fantastic. Really thoughtful and well curated menu. The place has an open spacious field, even when all the tables are full. The high bar seats were very cool since we could see the kitchen.
A great destination for foodies .

Lovely space, great menu ideas. Food seemed pre made, bread basketballs great, collards standard, salmon dishes meh, mushrooms meh, ceviche ok. Drinks meh. Service - surface sweet, delivery sub par. I've eaten at all Marcus Samuelson restaurants, my son worked for him in one San Francisco spot. Was excited to try this. An expensive miss I'm sorry to say.
