   Outstanding service and food! We had a tight schedule as we were heading to see a holiday play and our server was aware of this and got us in and out on time! Bloody Mary’s and burgers were outstanding too.

   We went for the Glenbrook South Chamber Singers roving singers performance. Very worthwhile if you can still see them this season or maybe next year .

   It was cozy, pleasant but freezing in the restaurant. I realize it was 12 degrees outside but we never took our coats off. We almost left. Most uncomfortable. Ruined our long awaited lunch date.

   Miss the bison burger Fries were under cooked and barely warm

   Hackneys on Lake has definitely changed. The food is just ok and no more specials on drinks for happy hour and only a few special appetizers that must be consumed at the bar. We have come here for the holidays for many years but will not return next year. And by the small number of patrons in the restaurant, I think many people have made the same choice. Our server was excellent though!

Just to clarify since our Happy Hour is new, we do have $2 off all bar drinks during Happy Hour, along with rotating appetizer specials available at the direct bar and high top tables next to the bar. We understand if this wasn’t what you expected, and we truly appreciate your loyalty over the years. We're glad to hear your server took great care of you and will pass that compliment on to her as well.
