   Halibut Tacos the best I’ve ever had. Nice atmosphere. Maybe too many dogs at tables, I counted 5. Still, it was a nice Sunday brunch experience.

   The food and service was excellent. They went over and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. They gave me a beautiful lemon meringue pie for my birthday.

   Our server was very pleasant when she was there, she just didn’t seem prepared…didn’t have pen, didn’t have menus, didn’t have a pad. The restaurant didn’t seem very busy. It took about 20 minutes for someone to greet our table. We had to ask twice. I don’t know what was going on behind the scenes and have worked all areas of service, wasn’t in a hurry so did not press it. The food once we finally ordered was outstanding and arrived in a timely manner. I think she’d be great with a little more coaching.

   Enjoyed a great meal here for dinner. Fish Tacos, Brisket Burger and tried two desserts. Our server Tina was very good. Friendly, knew the menu and made great recommendations.

   We sat outdoors where it was quieter than inside, but they had absolutely no gas heaters operating in the winter night. Even a nearby restaurant which puts its menu on a chalkboard has outdoor gas heaters. The menu was very limited, and I rate it as the worst Tommy Bahama restaurant that we have ever dined in. The only thing saving it from a 1 -Star, was the main course was good tasting, and we had good service.

    We had a delicious brunch at Grapefruit Basil today. We ordered the Baby Gem Caesar salad with grilled chicken and the All-American breakfast which came with the best roasted baby potatoes and peppers. The Lemon Meringue tart was outstanding, as well. Our server, Yvonne, was very friendly and attentive. The setting is so beautiful, overlooking the patio and pool area. It’s a consistently good, always relaxing, enjoyable experience.
