   I was really disappointed with my experience here. 1) I requested a table in the Grand Hall over the phone and was told that would be no problem, but when I arrived, there was an event happening and we were sat in the River Room. The River Room was beautiful too, but the entire reason for my reservation was to sit in the Grand Hall, so my experience started off with a disappointment. 2) Service was okay, the workers weren’t that friendly and service was very slow. We were sat for a full hour before our entrees arrived. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be, it just felt awkwardly long. 3) The food is just ok, don’t expect to be wowed. My food was not very hot either, it looked like it sat for a bit. Overall I would not go back for the price and lackluster service.

   We would like to "Thank you" for an awesome brunch ~ our first visit with The Grand Concourse ~ when we made the reservation we requested *if possible* a great view of the waterfront as our youngest son is graduating from University of Pittsburgh this May & we wanted to make our time/visit as special as possible & our table & view was Grand! From the first contact at the Service Desk~ our Host who seated us & our Awesome Waiter were Professional ~ Receptive & Very Knowledgeable ~ Food was Delicious & we really appreciated the BEAUTIFUL Building ~ Thank you!!!

   We really enjoy the Sunday Brunch Buffet at The Grand Concourse. From the smoked salmon with onions, capers, and horseradish, to the custom omelettes, homemade donuts, and sticky buns with pecans, we enjoy the spread. The setting, in a former train station, is beautiful. After brunch we enjoy walking along the riverfront. The only thing we don't love is the coffee as we find it a bit bitter. A word of advice, make your reservation knowing that, at really busy times, you can still wait a half hour for your table. It's worth it, just plan accordingly

   Food and atmosphere were good. Server was not personable to us. She did not explain what they had to offer or take a drink order. Had to speak with manager to have server even come ask us if we wanted drinks. I assume the manager spoke with her as she returned with a much stronger adverse attitude. Would not recommend if you have children as she was very pleasant to adult only tables. Manager was very kind and was immediate to address the situation. Unfortunate that his talk with her had undesired consequences.

   Disappointed overall for this dinner experience. We usually come to brunch and always amazing. We celebrated during dinner this time and the service was not great - had to keep asking for beverage refills, half of our 8 person party was served their main course and had to wait at least 5 minutes for the other half to get served. Food was cold - sent some back. Overall, service was slow and poor. Also, in the Gandy Dancer beforehand, it was hard to get drink service....and equally hard to pay. Expect better service and food quality at a restaurant of this caliber. There was one good part - the special dessert requested was correct and delicious. Hoping this was just a bad night. We will return.....for brunch - always very special and delicious!
