With one of the best selections of craft beer in Norfolk, our rooftop bar offers a terraced patio with spectacular views of the Elizabeth River. We are accepting Walk-ins only. We invite you to stop in an explore Norfolk’s only rooftop beer garden at your leisure. Thank you for choosing Grain as your dining destination! Heightened Covid-19 Prevention Procedures with Outdoor seating available (Weather Permitted).

Dining reservations are limited to 90 minutes to ensure all of our guests get an opportunity to enjoy Grain! Incomplete parties will be seated once all guests have arrived. Parking is located in Plume Street garage attached to the rear of the hotel.

    This was my first dining experience at Grain. I had reserved a table for their Christmas Buffet. I must say, I am very disappointed and will not be returning! The food was not very good at all! The beef and chicken were unacceptably tough, and the salmon was dry! Some side dishes were under-seasoned, others were salty! Also, there was not an adequate selection of desserts! The entertainment was atrocious! Just because we're in Virginia, doesn't mean that all diners only want to hear Country Music(complete with yodeling)!! It was Christmas Day and he didn't even perform any Christmas Carols!! Ridiculous!! It would have made more sense for management to book a singer/musician that had a broader, more sophisticated range and appeal!! Just sloppy!! I found no redeeming qualities at Grain! It was overall, a dismal dining experience not worth the price! I will not be returning!

    Enjoyed the Christmas day brunch. Was very disappointed that there was no turkey or ham. The chicken was a little bit dry. However, the shrimp was delicious. I would say that the desserts need to be improved upon. In some cases, there wasn’t even any signage to say what it is and it felt like corners were cut. But our server was amazing and having the music was a perfect touch. We’re glad we ate here and we’ve done this before but hoping for better changes with the brunch in the future.

    Christmas day brunch was amazing. First time away from family and friends for the holiday and it was surprisingly nice. Everything we ate was very flavorful and exciting. Karrina our waitress was exceptional. We are already making plans to go back next year.

    Buffet was great but the music was too loud from the performer to music over the speakers hard to talk to my son and husband at the table. Also the table we were put at I literally had to climb up on to the stools.. a smaller closer to the gound table would have been better since both my son and i are 5/1 and my feet were dangling .

    The food and service were excellent and a good value for what we received. It was nice to have live entertainment but the volume was extremely loud and made table conversation difficult.
