   It was my husband's and I first afternoon tea ever. We are not from the UK. I was really excited since all the pictures looked so good! The sandwiches were bad, my husband didn't even want to try them - I tried all of them but the egg one made me wanna gag. The scones were the only things that saved the meal, they were ok. The desserts looked incredible but tasted like they were made more than a week ago. Maybe we just are not fit for afternoon tea? All I know is that I left disappointed and 99 pounds pooer.

   Staff were brilliant service was fast. Food was merely ok. Nothing earth shattering. Brilliant ambiance for a hotel bar really. Unexpected! We would return

   Food was nice but the service let it down. One meal was missed off the order and got their food just as we were finishing the rest. Drinks were forgotten and we struggled getting wine we wanted as it wasn't in the fridge. Guitar on a Saturday evening was great. Overall we had a nice time, just a shame it went from 5 to 3 stars

   Food was a little disappointing, especially for the price. Lovely setting and probably fine for a drink and snack.

   After securing my reservation via OpenTable my family walked a decent way to the restaurant. Upon arrival at our reservation time the hostess informed us that we would have to wait a significant amount of time to be seated. I informed her that we had a reservation and she told me , “yes, but these three other parties do as well”. I asked her how long she thought the wait would be and she said “ I don’t know? 45 mins”? I asked why take reservations if they could not accommodate them to which she had no answer. Poor business practice.

   Good atmosphere, the team was very friendly and attentive. Good variety of food options on the menu. I enjoyed the live singer. I will definitely come again.
