Au gratin potatoes not fully cooked … skin would not come off of chicken … $42 for a chicken breast … did not ask if we wanted additional drinks … added 20% without notice to party of 3. I have been at Gordon Ramsay restaurants all over the world, but I feel like he is very overpriced and becoming a marginal food. Not a great experience for $275, I think our time is done.

An excellent meal. Beautiful location. Fresh food. Definitely a place to go when you have a special occasion or just want a special treat. I had just come from a long day of travel and was completely rejuvenated after my experience.

My wife and I have been to many incredible restaurants around the world. And we’ve been to several of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants. So, we expected a very nice meal in a nice environment at a typical cost for that category of establishment. What we got was unexpected. The service was impeccable (thank you, August, for taking such good care of us). The environment was inviting, modern and polished (for example we sat next to the window and our glasses were perfectly polished… I even took a picture because they were so impressive). But the icing on the cake so to speak was the food and wine pairing. The scallops were perfectly prepared with a bacon, celery root, pickled apple compliment that didn’t overpower but rather matched the scallops to create an elegant flavor. At this point most restaurants would pair the scallops with a bold Chardonnay or possibly a Pinot Grigio. But HK chose to pair this dish with a smooth, medium bodied Chablis. It was an elegant and perfect match. Our second course is what the restaurant chain is famous for… Beef Wellington. Again, the dish was perfectly prepared with not only the best crust and mushroom shell but also a very nicely crafted red wine demi-glace with potato purée and a few root vegetable balls. This combined into a bold taste that kept you wanting more. Just when you needed it, the taste that can only come from well-cooked root vegetables brought the dish back to reality in a nice, earthy way. And, once again, the dish was perfectly paired with a bordeaux that matched the intensity, acidity and boldness of the dish. Lastly, we had the sticky toffee pudding. If you are still reading at this point, you likely can predict what I’m about to say. But, in this case, it was all about the sauce. I liked it so much that I’m going to try and make it at home. And the dish was paired with a madeira dessert wine that wasn’t super sweet. This is the longest review I’ve ever written… for one of the best meals we’ve had ever.

Service was slow and food was average. My birthday was never acknowledged despite it being on the reservation and my friend mentioning it to the waiter. Typical service when the waiter knows gratuity is automatically included in the bill. The location and view were nice but that is about it.

Everything was great except the check in process. Had reservation for 8:30 and didn’t get sat until 45 min later. Drinks were delicious so was the food, did not disappoint. Our server,Austin, was great! Very knowledgeable and friendly.

Great experience. I got the vegan rice with Tofu and really enjoyed. It was seasoned to perfection! I literally cleaned my plate. Our server was great and knowledgeable so I will consider him an expert at his craft. I will definitely be back.
