   Enjoyed our meal here and the cozy ambiance of the restaurant. Our server was very chatty and pleasant until another person stepped in to help and delayed the return of my dish which had not been hot enough. It is also nice to browse through the grocery attached to see all of the foods and staples brought in from Greece.

   Had been a few years ago and it was outstanding. This visit brought a very delayed dinner (& not a packed evening) that was underwhelming. The lamb and chicken on the gyro were quite bland. The manager’s policy that you cannot substitute a side Greek salad for the platter’s rice or fries (even for an up charge) is ridiculous. We were seared under the duct on the grill side and the condensation dripped all during the meal. No napkins were placed under our drinks, so that condensation was sliding off the table on us as well. Even taking our cards to pay was very delayed. The automatic 20% gratuity (even on alcohol) was not acceptable. That was my last visit to Golden Fleece.

   Really fun Greek town experience! Great pleasant service and cocktails. All the food we had was good and well prepared as expected. Try the flaming cheese! This is a Greek Town Got-To!

   I understand it was really busy. Not servers fault but food was subpar Saw a manager grab glasses with his fingers in the dirty glass and then serving food immediately after. Hope your not spreading Hep C.

   I had never been to Detroit before but was in town for a wedding and booked a variety of places to try from upscale to average. I've gotta say, I think this was the most memorable of any of them. First of all, the street this restaurant is on is absolutely gorgeous aesthetically, the prettiest part of Detroit I saw hands down. And that extends to the atmosphere inside Golden Fleece too. I don't think pictures do it justice at all, it's homey in such a unique and authentic way. The cocktails were lovely, the spanakopita was huge, tender and flakey. And the gyros were amazing and also very generous. The left overs were a great post-wedding hotel snack. If I'm ever back in Detroit, I will definitely eat here and hopefully have more time to do a little exploring in the Greektown area.

    Nice location, cool ambience, friendly servers, saganaki appetizer is cool flair and tastes good. My entree was very disappointing - the chicken souvlaki pita sandwich was absolutely drenched in tzatziki, like a ridiculous amount. Most of it ended up on my face, so I gave up on it. Overall, not bad, but stick with the knife and fork entrees or ask for easy tzatziki.
