The Chef’s Table is a lively, kitchen-side dining experience, cooked and served by our talented team of chefs. This immersive experience offers a deep dive into our culinary program, featuring premium ingredients and exclusive off-menu preparations. Wine pairings are available. At $85 per person we can arrange a beautiful 3 course dinner plated in a family-style sharing format. Please note this experience is not dairy free or suitable for plant based diets. *We require a pre-fix menu selection for parties of 9 or more. We do not have our à la carte menu available to large groups. *The reservation time limit is 3 hours. *With no show or cancellation with less than a 48 hours notice, you will be charged $35 per person.

Exceptional restaurant! The service, food and wine were amazing. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing and both the food and wine were very unique as compared to other high end French Restaurants we’ve dined at. I will be highly recommending Gitane to others.

Went with a friend for dinner on a Friday evening. We got the tasting menu and some drinks. We sat at a small table close to the bar. Everything was delicious and service was exceptional.

I am a frequent solo diner and Gitanes is a place to get a wonderful dinner after a day of grinding! Hanger cut on the Steak Frites was amazing even with my “well-done” choice. The White Bronco was a refreshing cocktail and it definitely reminded me of acquitting things if they do not fit. The Sorbet was a nice dessert after feeling lethargic from the good food and good service. 5 big booms! 💥💥💥💥💥

Quality of food, presentation, wait staff very all excellent. Lovely restaurant in downtown Ottawa. Great for couples or small groups. Remember paying for quality and a range of different dishes which may not get elsewhere with excellent service.

So lucky to have such a wonderful place for a night out. Thursday night Steak Frites continue to be outstanding and clearly appreciated based on a full house last night on a cold January evening. The food is scrumptious, fairly portioned and served by table staff with knowledge and style. Wonderfully accommodating front of house staff get all the tables just right. Gitanes... mmmm.
