The food was terrific. Our server was terrific. We loved the place. We were shoved into a table for two among many others but it was very casual where there was some comparison of dishes/orders between tables without a true loss of privacy. It was just very relaxed. In any case, I hassled by companion when he ordered the skirt steak as it sounded so boring but, actually, I'm glad he shared some with me. Even that was elevated. Also, as he noted, it was prime beef and it's really hard to find that, lots of times. Order the beet/mezcal drink - awesome. And get the special featured wines, especially the special blend of red.

G & G has always been a 10/10 in my book for dinner. They just started brunch today so I had to go. Great service. Good food. It’s a heavily Asian flavored menu. We ordered 4 dishes & a side of sausage for the two of us. The sausage came out tasting great but colder than lukewarm- I’d like my sausage hot or at least warm- it tasted like it had been sitting out for 10 min. We ordered two dishes at our severs recommendation that were top notch- the Pork belly noodle (divine) and potato crepe (fantastic). We ordered two other dishes I wouldn’t recommend - not bad, but just not good- the chilaquiles (needed a crema) and had too many chips and not enough steak and the pork belly okpnamiyaki (potato pancake was too crunchy - almost over cooked). It also is not a great menu for a low carb diet - I’d love to see more options for that.

The best meal I had in Chicago!!! I absolutely loved everything we tried. Started with the chickpea fritters and the pita and dips and they were fantastic. We then had the chicken which was crispy and perfect flavoring. Our server then treated us to the hamachi poke which was outstanding!! We finished the night with the blood orange sorbet and it was the best end to the night. Cannot wait to come back.

In this restaurant your items come out as they are prepared. However there seemed to be a disjointed order of the progression of how items were served. Our last dish was forgotten and then when it came out, it was cold. We were told that the steak is served at room temperature. That made no sense. It was not a salad. This is my favorite restaurant but my guest who was trying it for the first time said that they would not come back. Based on this experience, I would agree. Everything else we tried was delicious. Service was good other than forgetting about the rest of our order. The ambiance and cocktails were also good.

Food and experience were great. The sticky glazed pork shank lived up to its reputation. It was excellent and was an impressively large portion of slide-off-the-bone pork. The veggies we tried were good. The pita appetizer was another show stealer. We immediately ordered a second pita. I loved the carrot tahini dip that accompanied it.

Going out as a group or on date night, this place is amazing. The bill will run you but it was date night for us and we had some cocktails. A great vibe for lets cut it loose and have a good time. I will say for a party of 8 you can order the entire menu and pick your favorites for a second go.
