Girl & the Goat opened in 2010 with the goal of offering a menu of bold, flavorful dishes designed to share in a fun and lively atmosphere. To complement the experience, we offer a curated selection of wines from around the world, focusing on small producers, along with a rotating list of craft beers and a playful cocktail menu crafted by our bartenders. The ever-changing menu, driven by locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, features favorites like sautéed green beans, roasted oysters, crispy short ribs, and confit goat belly. While reservations are encouraged for the dining room, our bar welcomes walk-ins, adventurers, and those who prefer spontaneity.

Going out as a group or on date night, this place is amazing. The bill will run you but it was date night for us and we had some cocktails. A great vibe for lets cut it loose and have a good time. I will say for a party of 8 you can order the entire menu and pick your favorites for a second go.

The music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other let alone the waiter who kept disappearing and was so slow to take our orders or even get the check. The food was ok but so overpriced and very small considering it was meant to be shared. Had the worst heartburn after. Enjoyed the bottle of wine but they charged $90 for a $30 bottle. Not worth it.

Each dish we ordered was absolutely delicious but I felt as though the portions came out smaller compared to what I had seen shared online in previous reviews. I also appreciate friendly and attentive service which is what we received… however ours waiters, and other staff were ON TOP of us.. the other tables surrounding us were also ON TOP of us.. it made for a very interruptive dining experience and was hard to even hear or focus on my date. That being said, some of the best food I’ve had in my life, but I’m not sure I’d come back.

The food was exceptional. Drinks were different and refreshing. Had the the goat empanadas, pig face, roasted beets and the green beans.

The most delicious meal we had in Chicago! Everything was legit delicious! Loved the goat empanadas and the green beans for sure! Highly recommended!
