Giovanni’s Ristorante invites you to experience Italian cuisine in an atmosphere reminiscent of the old world charm where friends and family gather to enjoy more than just a meal. The homemade pastas, the prime cuts of meat, the fresh fish and farm grown vegetables are carefully prepared to preserve a distinctive flavor of the finest regions.

Specialty wines and spirits complement each course. Guests enjoy tableside conversation with Frances Cannarsa Truant, the “padrona” or perhaps a visit from Chef Randy Truant. The atmosphere is convivial, warm, and aromatic. The staff is seasoned, the service impeccable.

The Godfather Room is the ideal setting for a business meeting.

Highly recommend your cravings for fine Italian go to Giovannis! Went there last night and excellent meal as always! Chris was our server and does not disappoint with prompt service and knowledge of items. Staff is friendly yet still professional to enjoy the ambiance.

Food was outstanding as usual, service on the hand left a lot to be desired. Our waitress Sarah was terrible. We have been dining here for 25 years and never had a server as slow and rude as her.

A Google search for an Italian restaurant in Detroit to celebrate our daughters birthday lead us to Giovanni’s. Everything was amazing! Service, food, ambiance, we couldn’t be happier with our choice. We will definitely be back!!

This is my favorite Detroit area, Italian restaurant! Do yourself a favor and get the shrimp Giovanni appetizer! Every time I have been here, the service has been impeccable, and this time Chuck made my experience even more delightful. Everything is made from scratch and it will soon become your favorite restaurant as well!
