Restaurant has great location overlooking the Thames on the South Bank. All the staff were very professional and attentive. My husband was disappointed with his three tiger prawns, no finger bowl provided, he got into a mess eating them. He enjoyed his steak burger and the triple cooked chips and corn ribs which we shared were good. My BBQ baked bean burger was quite dry to eat, I suppose as a vegetarian a steak house isn’t going to be a top priority. Although they did provide with no charge two small Yorkshire puddings. Unfortunately my biggest complaint was that we were seated next to a family with two very noisy young children, I do appreciate it was early 5pm but perhaps we could have been moved further away as there was plenty of room, the constant screaming and crying detracted from our experience. I appreciate the family may have been guests in the hotel or just diners like us, but when you visit a venue that is marketed as a high end eatery, you don’t expect it to turn out to be a nursery. All in all very disappointing.

We were disappointed in the variety of food and very limited menu. My wife has a peanut and tree allergy and the only meal they that they said was safe to eat was the filet minion and roasted potato's. We stayed for 5 nights and only ate at the restaurant for 2 nights. The 2nd night we ate at Gillray's was only because of the convivence of eating at the Hotel we were staying at ,Marriot County Hall. Thank you

A beautiful setting, attentive staff. Sirloin steak £40 with at least 40% fat - yuck - could have got the same steak from M and S for £7. Great frothy cappuccinos.

Food and service could not be faulted - nice view over the Thames - I asked for a window seat when booking and we got one when we arrived. New menu - great steaks - a little on the expensive side at £100 a head with no wine but very nice as a treat

The bar area is a wonderful space, the dining area is less so. Steak was nothing out of the ordinary and did not justify the restaurant’s boast that it’s the best steak on the Southbank.

Steaks were just okay. Reservations did not result in window view of Thames.

It is a beautiful setting and I can't fault the food, which was delicious. However, for me, I have two small criticisms. Firstly, we were seated for 45 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Secondly, I personally prefer my main course to come with side dishes. These have to be ordered as extras at added expense.
