   We had a wonderful meal at Giano. Our server was friendly and attentive and provided all the advice we needed to make great wine and meal choices. The meal was exceptional and we had such a great evening!

   Ambiente raffinato, accoglienza elegante. Personale gentilissimo che ci ha consigliato la scelta delle pietanze e del vino. Cibo ottimo, molto ben presentato. Originalissima la proposta dei dolci fatta con foto polaroid. Ci ritorneremo!

   First, this is a restaurant in a hotel, not a standalone establishment. The atmosphere is fine but pompous (the imitation wood paneling on the walls being the worst offender on that point). The staff is pleasant and friendly, but they are not overly competent; our waiter struggled to explain some of the dishes, which is required as the menu can be helplessly incomprehensible. The food, while we are on the topic, was horrendous. Some were so salty as to be inedible; other dishes were bland. Most shocking, their interpretation of tiramisu was with regular whipped cream (the same as one might buy in a can from a supermarket). That was just insulting.

   Lovely ambient and cosy restaurant Decent food that was good enough without being inspiring or mind blowing. Service was ok . Could and should be better with more attention to detail. The staff was very kind though.

   Enjoyable and delicious evening at Giano. Service was mostly impeccable (though it took forever for the after-dinner cappuccinos to arrive). Food was superb--artfully presented, bright flavors. And good advice on the wines. Only downside was annoying repetitive music--should work on the playlist. But, despite that, we'd go back for sure.

    A classy, hip date night restaurant with outstanding food and service. Extremely attentive staff, cute pajama-like outfits for the hostesses. One thinks of the W Hotel, where this restaurant is located, to be very corporate. This was different - and the food qualities miles above normal hotel food. The complementary dessert ball-like tarts were the best desserts of our Rome trip. Red Snapper light and tasty, the pasta rich and just the right amount of tomato sauce and spices, appropriately al dente. Just excellent!
