   The food was great but the service and the area was quite unclean. Food debris on the floors and chairs. When we highlighted those to the server she responded “there only a few pieces”. We don’t expect that from a high end restaurants. We requested a change of area and although we could see enough tables, the server refused.

   Having enjoyed several memorable meals at Georgia James' previous location, including our engagement dinner, we were excited to celebrate Mother's Day at their new venue. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. Our noon reservation started off on a less than ideal note, as we were seated in a small annex room near the restrooms. The service was notably slow, with a 20-minute wait for initial drink orders and another 30 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. Communication from our server was infrequent, leaving us uncertain about the status of our meals. The pacing of the meal was extremely inconsistent. My wife ordered a salad as her main course, which arrived promptly after ordering, but there was a significant delay (an HOUR wait) for the other main courses. When they finally arrived, my mother-in-law's ribeye was overcooked, and my short-rib ravioli was underdone and lacking flavor. The entire lunch lasted three hours, which felt excessive given the circumstances. We were disappointed by the lack of communication from management or our server regarding the delays and the overall underwhelming food. While we understand that holidays can be challenging for restaurants, the combination of slow service, cooking inconsistencies, and lack of attentiveness was unexpected for an establishment of Georgia James' caliber and price point. We hope this was an isolated incident due to Mother's Day preparations, but it has made us hesitant about returning any time in the near future. We fondly remember our past experiences at Georgia James and hope they can address these issues to return to the high standards we've previously enjoyed.

   First time at Georgia James to celebrate a special day! Drinks were superb. Tried the Tallow Old Fashion. Fantastic. Appetizers were good. Pork Belly not on par with other Texas Steak houses. East Coast Oysters, Little Pinks, fantastic. Steaks were good, a bit over done. Tables small, not enough space for 4 people. We do not like being seated in a walkway. Wine list was very expensive, but was able to find some reasonable bottles for $100 that were good! We enjoyed the night.

   The only word I have is…… wow!!!! It’s a must try. Everything was more than I expected. Brenice was so nice and very welcoming. My husband and I were there for our 25th wedding anniversary and everyone made us feel so special. I can’t thank them enough for everything.

   ⸻ Outstanding Lunch Experience! I stopped in for the lunch special and was thoroughly impressed. The pork chop was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The soup was also excellent, rich and comforting. What truly set the experience apart, though, was the service. Attentive, friendly, and truly over the top in the best way. Highly recommend for a quality midday meal!

   Great food. Waiters were not intrusive. Wine list expansive. Food variety broad. Owner greeting was nice touch. Maybe manager greeting vs owner.

   Enjoyed Easter Brunch upstairs. Everything was amazing . The views are nice, the band was perfect, the food was beyond perfect, the prices were a fraction of what I thought they would be, and our server, Ghitta was extraordinary . I will definitely be back!

   The food was amazing. Drinks were creative and tasty. Our server was very attentive, friendly and gave some solid recommendations. The one thing I will say is that it was very cold in the restaurant and the condensation from the ductwork kept dripping on our table. Won’t keep us from going back though! Can’t wait to try more of the menu!

    Nice ambiance, delicious foods, courteous staffs, knowledgeable sommelier. A must try destination for those with affinity to steak cooked properly. Thumbs up for one of the best restaurants in Houston.
