   We came back to Genius Lounge after eating there the last time we were in Waikiki. Everything was tasty, though the cheese on the nachos could use an upgrade from what appeared to be Velveeta. The Mochiko chicken was very tender and flavorful. The mac-nut mango cheese was also a good flavor combination. The restaurant is on Lewers, but away from the main part of Waikiki on the third floor of a building with two other restaurants in it and seems to mostly attract Japanese tourists (the website defaults to Japanese) and locals, and the menu reflects both influences.

   Too much garlic sauce on the ahi, wasn’t as tasty as we hoped. Shrimp and mashed potatoes were good but steak was wayyy overdone even though I said medium. Food took way too long to come out for me to complain so I didn’t bother saying anything (45 minutes, and didn’t want to wait another 40 for a fresh steak as it was our last night and we were tired). Waitress was polite although I do wished she checked on us more often, wasn’t very attentive. Guava mojito was more juice than anything. Mai thai’s weren’t bad but I thought they’re usually served in short glasses not huge beer cups. I’m sure if I tried something else the food would’ve been good but I’ll admit I’m just disappointed that I reserved here for our last night.

   Amazing food and a great setting. We sat outdoors at the beautifully funky patio tables and enjoyed chilled wine, raw oysters, Furikake ahi steak, and the avocado roll sushi with pico de ahi. The oysters were amazing and fresh, the ahi steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned enough to give flavor but still tast the ahi; but the sushi roll tops everything. It's a surprisingly large portion with a crispy tempura roll and the best pico topping I've ever tasted. I would recommend this anyone looking for that seafood dinner on Waikiki that can be difficult to find. Amazing food and a great atmosphere. Give it a try.

   LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! Will definitely come back again. The service was phenomenal! The karage chicken & hot pot loco moco… OMG! Sooooo good! Happy hour was good priced! What an amazing hidden gem in waikiki!

   店員さんがアットホームで素敵でした。ヒルトンの花火が見えるテラス席を準備してくださり、雰囲気もボリュームも満足できました。 他のお店よりも遅くまでハッピーアワーメニューをやってましたのでお得に食事ができました。立地もよく、とにかく気さくな店員さんが多いので安心して楽しめるお店だと思います。

   One of Waikīkī faves! Great food, super nice staff, and it’s just so comfortable and chill! Also, I don’t drink alcohol and they have Asahi zero proof beer - delicious!
