   Had our anniversary dinner here and it was the best choice! Our server Mike was incredible and so was all of the food we had. The cocktails were also well made. Special mention for the crab cakes, DO NOT skip those! There’s a reason this place has been in business for 80 years and it shows. Definitely a great choice for a classic steak house experience.

   I made a reservation for me and my girlfriend’s 4 year anniversary. I had high hopes expectations for this place. Other times we have come, the service seems top notch. It may have been that it was on a Sunday, I don’t know. When we arrive our table wasn’t really a spot reserved for us it was just a table that was open. We know since it was set for four, they asked us if more people would be joining us, and it didn’t really accommodate to my preference/request. Then after we had to wait for menus, once the waiter arrives they don’t even know that we are celebrating anything. We have dined here as walk in before and we’ve gotten a better more attentive service. At the end we got a small comp desert with a candle that felt more like a birthday. Since that was the same thing they were given to two tables who came for their birthday. I reserved a table here because I felt that they could really help us make our day special. But it was just an ok service for a slow Sunday.

   Wonderful food and service. Mike took care of us and we followed all of his recommendations for our meal. Steak was perfect. Go. You will love it.

   We had a great time. The food was amazing. Some in our party thought that it was the best prime rib they had ever had! Carlos & Emilio took great care of us!

   Diners should know that the steaks are very pricey at this restaurant, and every side is ala carte. We shared a 24 oz. porterhouse and two sides and everything was delicious.

    This restaurant has professional wait staff who really understand customer service. As well established as it is, and well known nationwide, they treat every customer as if they are special. Having been to so many newer restaurants in Chicago, there is a general lack of good customer service that isn’t being properly taught to the staff. But this place brings it because it’s not millennials serving you. It’s staff with decades of experience.
