Gene and Georgetti is Chicago's original steakhouse since 1941. This family-owned establishment housed in Chicago's third oldest building serves the finest prime-aged steaks and chops, pastas, & signature dishes invented here such as The Garbage Salad and Chicken alla Joe. Our curated wine list originates from our roots in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy - we concentrate on Italian varietals that complement our classic Italian steakhouse menu.

Securely processed credit card info is required to secure a reservation. No-shows or cancellations within 48 hrs will be charged $25 pp.
As a reminder we do have a 15 minute grace period to honor your reservation, past that time your reservation will be forfeit.

Valet parking after 3pm is $15 cash.

Our dress code is Smart Business/Cocktail Chic - you never know who you might see at G & G!

    The food was Amazing! Highly recommend the ribeye! Service was a little slow. I think that's partially because they really allow you the time to sit and enjoy your time there though. The spumoni at the end was very unique and so great as well! Homey atmosphere. Check it out!

    A Chicago-classic, this restaurant has been on my bucket list for SO long! I was thoroughly impressed by the service, the quality of care taken with each dish, and the ambiance. Visiting for the first time during Chicago Restaurant Week, I was able to enjoy their delicious garbage salad, gnocchi pomodoro basílico, and Italian cookie gelato. The gelato easily took my breath away as it was creamy, smooth, and packed with flavor. I enjoyed the texture breaks of the Italian cookies mixed throughout and wanted so much more. The experience was topped off with a visit from the chef that created the gelato especially for Restaurant Week - we were incredibly honored by the visit. All this to say, Gene & Georgetti have found a customer for life! I can’t wait to come back and bring different loved ones to celebrate our life’s accomplishments.

    We went for Restaurant Week, the menu was great and our server was courteous. He gave a great drink recommendation & surprisingly the portions were filling. It was great, thank you!
