   When the server brought over a pre dinner appetizer tray of nuts,pickles and GUMMY bears I should have known what dinner would be like. This place got a great open table review we thought we should try it as there aren’t a lot of great places here in this area. Quite frankly, it didn’t deserve a 4.8. Should have been a 3 at best!! It wasn’t that it was bad but it not only wasn’t exceptional it was mediocre at best. My wife ordered rare prime rib rare that was cooked with a blow torch. When she complained a new one properly cooked came out in 2 minutes! Huh? It was without taste and not a “queen cut”. My salmon dish and the accompaniment of veggies were tasteless as well and not quite cooked enough. Maybe my east coast foodie upbringing has spoiled me but there are MUCH better places here in Minnesota. This place is a diner, and not a very good one at that! It should be skipped!

   Nice ambiance in the bar area. We went for happy hour. It was quite loud. Our waitress Maddy was fantastic & very attentive. They did run out of crab scraps which was disappointing. We enjoyed our time & will definitely be going back again! We love this place!

    Amazing as always! Gary's is the place to go in the South Metro! You're missing out if you haven't been to Gary's.
