   Truly an absolutely amazing experience every single time. Not only is the service, friendly and approachable, my favorite pizza in Chicago is made here. The caccio de pepe pizza. Truthfully, it is beautiful. You need to try it to believe how good it is. I bring my friends here every single time that they are in town.

   Gallucci’s was very accommodating to our larger group! Our wine glasses were never empty and the food was great. The fried dough with tomato was delicious!

   When my party of two arrived for our 7 PM reservation, we were kept waiting for 15 minutes despite an available table for six that could have been adjusted to seat us. While the table was eventually rearranged, the delay made the reservation feel unnecessary and gave the impression we were not prioritized. What I found most upsetting was being approached and confronted at the restaurant by THE OWNER when I tried to express my concerns calmly. As a young woman, this was an intimidating and uncomfortable experience. Guests should feel safe providing feedback without fear of confrontation, especially when their concerns are valid. Additionally, being rushed through our meal and asked to vacate our table before finishing our drinks made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. While I understand the challenges of managing a busy night, this situation stemmed from mismanagement, and we should not have been rushed as a result. I’m sharing this feedback not to cause conflict but to advocate for better hospitality and communication. Based on other reviews, it’s clear that taking accountability is not a strong point here, as excuses often replace meaningful action. I’ve dined at equally busy restaurants and been treated with far more care and respect as a paying customer. Unfortunately, this experience left me with no desire to return, especially given how poorly my concerns were handled both in person and in your reply.

   It was ok. Mostly pizza (50% of the menu). A couple of pasta items. Not much choices for salads. Pretty cramped space. Wanted to try it but many better choices for Italian food on the same street (Wells) just a block or two away.

   Gallucci rarely disappoints when it comes to the food and drinks! Usually there is more of a wait in the winter, even with a reservation, because of the smaller size of the space. Overall it is worth waiting for and a great spot to have dinner with a small group in Old Town!

    We had to wait 45 minutes despite having a reservation (and we had to wait a similar amount of time last time). It is an outrageous amount of time when you have a reservation. I can undertake having a bad night or having to wait 5-10 minutes, but 45? It put our party in a bad mood and we couldn’t enjoy our meal (even though the food is good)
