   To say our experience at The Gallery was disappointing would be an understatement. I will start by saying the food was very good, but the rest of our experience was not. We are locals (not guests at the hotel) and decided after 6 years of living in SC to try the Gallery. We know it is high-end and thought it would be the perfect place to have Christmas dinner. We made a reservation for 2:30 p.m. We were anticipating a lovely and non-rushed dinner, which is always the case with high-end. When we were seated, we were handed a menu for brunch, not dinner. We asked if brunch was the only option. We were told that dinner wasn't served until 4:00 (no indication of this on they website). From our experience, dinner is usually available all day on a holiday like Christmas. It took us a while to decided what to eat since we were not expecting breakfast food. When the waitress came to take our order, we ordered starters to slow things down and asked her if we could wait to order our main meal. She said that was fine, but there was something about her reaction that made me ask if it was going to be a problem. That's when she informed us that the kitchen closes at 3:00 p.m. so they can clean up and get ready for the dinner reservations at 4 p.m. (when was she going to tell us this if I hadn't asked?). It was now 2:45 p.m. and we're being told the kitchen closes at 3 p.m. Why do they take a 2:30 p.m. reservation when the kitchen closes at 3:00 p.m. without mentioning it? So, we ordered our meals. While eating, at around 3:10 p.m., the cleanup began - a clear hint that they wanted those of us still dining to leave. Having to order our food and finish our meal all within 40 minutes, with sweeping and clanking of plates and glasses all around us, was not what we envisioned. This is not what should occur at such a high-end restaurant.

   We always enjoy coming to dine at the gallery restaurant for a night out or special occasions. Although we know we will be back, this time we had left disappointed. We started with the candy bacon and an order of truffle fries. They were both tasty. Although, surprised to see plate of fries served on a very small side plate. It was a child’s side in my opinion. I know we’ve ordered these in the past and this is not the portion we have had. I know it’s Christmas Eve so hoping that’s the reason. Establishments need to be consistent with their menus and servings. Didn’t want to fuss with the waitress about this, as it’s not her fault. My son ordered the wagyu burger and he also chose truffle fries for his side. We thought that could be over kill. We were surprised that his side order was much larger than our appetizer order that was $16.00. So we ate off of his portion.  I know we’ve ordered these in the past and this is not the norm. My Benedict was lukewarm. These aren’t a servers problem! We will be back, I know it’s Christmas Eve. Establishments need to stay consistent though, that’s why we would prefer to come to a resort and have wonderful service, experience and great food. I hope they get it together to have stellar all around time next go around. My Benedict was luke warm.

   Great food service drinks and experience all around. It’s a night end hotel so everything expensive which is to be expected. Will definitely return and stay eat drink again.

   First time eating there in many years. Service was impeccable and the wait staff were on it, we went at an earlier time so not a lot of patrons yet. My only complaint was my filet was a tad overcooked and a little stringy.

   The restaurant must have been short staffed because there were multiple dirty tables and although reservations were full there were multiple empty tables throughout our visit. The food was okay but the server forgot our bread. It coukd have been better with attention to detail and service.

   We love coming here for the ambiance and the classy, quiet atmosphere. Even though it was a busy night, the tall booths do a wonderful job of blocking out noise, creating a comfortable and intimate dining experience. Gina was our server, and as always, she was fantastic! We’ve had her many times before, and her service is consistently exceptional. She always has spot-on suggestions for food and wine. There were several exciting new additions to the menu by the new chef, and the selections were excellent. It was great to see some more European-inspired dishes, like the sweetbreads. For our entrées, we chose the Aussie Rack of Lamb and the Seafood Pasta Special with Saffron Sauce. Both dishes were perfectly balanced and featured thoughtful, unique flavors that really stood out. We’ll definitely be returning!

   I am local to this Restaurant yet hadn't been there in years. I was pleasantly surprised to have such a great experience. Our Server was a delight ... thank you Jordan! The quality of the food and presentation was truly outstanding. I will be using it as a meeting place more regularly going forward.

    Dined in bar area. It was chilly and service was a little slow but overall food was very good as well as the cocktails.
