In 1974, George and his wife Joan ventured out to what was then considered the country. They found the perfect location on the shores of Diamond Lake. A great deal has changed since then, but our commitment to service and great food hasn’t. We welcome you to visit and see what’s new. It’s the Gale Street you love and remember with a more comfortable and updated atmosphere. Come for your favorite dishes prepared by our award-winning chef and stay for the sunset, a good cocktail, and many more memories to be made.

Gale Street Inn is celebrated for its delectable ribs, "great service," and inviting atmosphere. Many guests appreciate its scenic lake views and cozy ambiance, ideal for special occasions. The menu offers a variety of well-prepared dishes, with standout mentions of the prime rib and beet salad. It was a little pricey, but we were entertaining family from Ireland so it was worth it. Service was excellent, noting there were 3 tables in use in main dinning room. Very pleasant and efficient. Only concern was that I had been told that they were able to Accommodate Gluten Free request. Had no bread and no pasta. That said there was enough choices that it did not leave anyone hungry. Proportion were very large and filling.

It had been quite a long time since I had dinner at Gale Street. But it won't be that long again. Our dinner was delicious and service was very pleasant.

Gale St is a solid, if not spectacular restaurant. They specialize in ribs, and again they are good, not great. A little on the dry side, but good flavor and sauce. The prime rib is similar. The cocktails were good and it is a great summer spot to see the lake. The service was extremely slow on this particular night....without the restaurant being crowded at all. If I was going to give is a true number score, it would be 3.8-3.9 out of 5.0. A solid restaurant but not a gem.p

Service was ok, but food and drink quality has gone way down. We have been customers for 30 years and this last visit seemed like they are struggling, financially and with a chef. The prime rib was cooked well done, terrible and was NOT a prime rib cut. It was round on top like a football. Maybe the end of a roast of some sort (top or bottom round?). It really was inedible. My $70 ribeye was 1/4 inch thick and no where near 18 ounces. It was like Outback or Dennys. It was also overcooked (I ordered it Medium Rare). The Old Fashioned was not made properly, very bitter, probably the wrong spirit too. Never had a bad experience before and this was truly disappointing. Almost like different owners trying to scrape dollars out of the place.

We hadn’t been to this location in a while and it was awesome. The restaurant was renovated so really nice setting and ambiance, lively but not noisy, service was fantastic as was the food. Wonderful birthday dinner for my husband and family. Thank you!

The food was excellent. The atmosphere was nice. Had a 6pm reservation and it was quiet when we first got there. Naturally, after 7pm it got more crowded and louder, but still not too bad. The menu was a little limited, but I loved the Rigatoni al vodka. I will definitely return. Thank you.
