   We were visiting Austin and wanted something different from home (MN). This restaurant did not disappoint. The food and the service were excellent. Thanks to Alfonzo for his great service to our party of 4.

   We stood at the host stand for about 5-7 mins and no one even looked at us, we walked over to the bar- no one, walked out in the back outdoor seating area and found a server. She seemed super overwhelmed and apologized and told us to take a seat. We sat down out back and scanned the code for the menu. Menu is oversized and doesn’t show up properly on a mobile device. Eventually she came over and we ordered queso, and the salsa trio. Ordered a beer and 3 waters. Everything came out kinda random, food before drinks, beer before waters. Waters were tiny, drank quickly and not refilled. Ordered dinner- 3 plates of puffy tacos- 2 chicken, 1 pastor. 1 person in our party is lactose in tolerant and she made sure to request no cheese, no dairy. Food came out fairly quick, the dairy free one had dairy. We had no silverware or napkins. Taco shells were cold and greasy. Meat tasted old. We waited again for like 5 mins for silverware as our food just got colder. Our hands were covered in grease from trying to pick up the shells since we didn’t have silverware. Finally I got up to go find us napkins and silverware. Everyone kinda hated everything. At this point, my husband who is a chef and has run multiple kitchens was like yeah no we’re going somewhere else this is terrible. He went and spoke with the staff that seemed to just be hanging out at the bar. Let them know everything that was wrong and that we were just gonna leave. At this point two of us had taken a single bite of our tacos and our lactose friend was just sitting there. I’d been in town Christmas 2021/22 and we’d gone here, it was good but now it’s just a bad restaurant with instagram photo ops. Ended up at another spot about 3 mins away and had a better experience overall. Was really sad honestly, but $13+ to park and that service/food quality was a no.

   The food was mediocre at best and the margarita was expensive and watered down.

   We shared a few dishes that were delicious! Horchata was huge! Service great. Parking lot was full of potholes and had to pay $16 to park which was not great.

   The experience was very lackluster. I read many reviews before deciding to take my family here. The reviews were mixed so not enough to not try it out ourselves. The building was nothing like the pictures on instagram and TikTok. We decided to eat inside since it had rained and the humidity was terrible. The first table we sat at was by the entrance to the bar and there were so many flies that we had to switch tables. The food came quickly but honestly I agree with all of the reviews I read about the food being very mid. Nothing spectacular. Was hoping for a better experience but you never know unless you try.
