   I have been to Frankie’s on several occasions. I’ve always had great experiences from: private dining, sitting at the bar, and celebration or dating dining. Last night was different. We were there to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and completion of medical school. Huge celebrations!! The wait staff seemed to be stretched. We had to ask for water to be refilled. My husband’s steak was loaded with salt and had to be sent back. When the steak finally arrived at the end of our meal, we had eaten all of the sides because my husband was starving. There was no offer to add a few additional onion rings or Brussel sprouts, so we just asked for the steak to be packed up to go. I had sweet potatoes and broccoli at home, so he ate his steak once he got home. Unacceptable. When the check came, we were charged for 4 bottles of water from the table beside us. Our waiter did cancel that transaction and rerun our check to exclude the $50 charge for waters. I consider Frankie’s to be premier dining in Gwinnett. Last night was not a great dining experience for me and my family. It felt rushed and there was a lack of attentiveness. Graduating from medical school is a big deal and we were hoping for a special celebration!

   Great quality preparation of food, great services, nice atmosphere - way over priced wine. I loved the quality of their steak and the preparation was perfect. Their wine prices are nuts though. They charge the same for a 6 ounce glass as the entire bottle costs at retail. They charged over twice the cost of a bottle of Quintessa at retail for a half bottle. I am accustomed to doubling or even a little more the cost of wine, but they charge 4 to five times. So if you don't drink wine, their costs are just a touch high, if you do drink wine...bring your gold card.

   I made reservations specifically with Foie Gras in mind and Frankie’s was out of it!!! Huge disappointment. The Halibut special was good but needed more seasoning and more sauce.

   Food was decent. The biggest turn off about this place was the ambiance it was really dreary in there. The price for the food was a lil too high considering it wasnt that great and a little salty.

   What I wish I known before ordering: The sides are shareable (one side order is enough for two people) From the service to the meal everything was top tier. Be sure to let them know if you’re celebrating when making your reservations. The Brussel sprouts are a MUST!! (And I don’t even like Brussel sprouts lol)
