Mia Francesca features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. It was one of the first restaurants in Chicago to encourage the lively art of dining with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, simple, rustic cooking, friendly service, and fair prices.

Waiting for a table at the beautiful antique bar is part of the charm of Mia Francesca. The plush upstairs dining room and lounge can be reserved for private events, as can the more intimate coach house tucked away behind the restaurant. In the summer, al fresco dining is also available on a charming cobblestone terrace.

    The braised lentils with spinach and goat cheese is SO good and the Agnolotti Quattro Formaggi is one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. Melt in your mouth deliciousness! Really lovely ambiance as well.

    They were super crowded and under-staffed so we had to flag down our server to order each item. We also had a reservation but didn't get seated until 1/2 hour after our reservation.

    Early dinner reservation and we’re seated on time and away from other diners which is a nice touch. Waiter was fantastic and recommended two dishes and not the two most expensive. Good wine selection and reasonably priced. Nice clean bar and dining area with good table spacing. It continues the tradition of the original Mia Francesca. Free parking too. Give it a try.
