Food was fine, service was awful. Waited 20-30 minutes for someone to take our order, despite having our menus closed on the table. Had to ask multiple times for the bill, and then another 15/20 minute wait before we were able to pay. Atmosphere was awful as it was so so loud in there, but they had the music really loud which made in 10 times worse.

Exceptional meal. This restaurant is so far ahead of average: Bresaola starter - best version I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a few) Lobster ravioli - top notch. Light and flavoursome Lobster spaghetti - al dente interesting spaghetti was really good. Decent pieces of lobster and a pleasing sauce. Pistachio tiramisu made with pistachio cake rather than pistachio cream - did the job. Service - staff were great and Ruth was fantastic. Met the owner on the way out who was eating at a table on the pavement - nice guy who appreciated us taking the time to say thanks. Suggestions: Turn the music down a bit Re-do the fascia when you can as food is better than you’d expect when you walk in. Shout out to the chef for super food - great job. And to the staff for prompt service. What impressed me particularly was the chef want afraid to season the food. And nice touches eg samphire with the lobster ravioli and snipped basil with the lobster spaghetti. Wine was fine eg the Gavi. And the champagne was excellent and served in a lovely glass. Thanks to all concerned for a great pre- theatre meal; we will return! Martin and Rachel Ellis
