   Came in for lunch with my wife and 2 year old. We were seated by a lady who recognized us from a previous visit and took our drink order and a request for a booster seat. Before she left she said sparkling or spring water which caught me off guard. I looked at my wife who had the same look and just answered spring to pass the awkward moment. We came back from the salad bar and sitting on the table was an open bottle of spring water with glasses filled but still no booster seat for my daughter. We didn’t ask for any water but my fault for not asking and just hoping that bottle wasn’t going to cost me $20 or more. The bacon wrapped chicken, sausage and Parmesan pork were delicious, however all of the meats were medium well to well done. Still tasty it’s just usually medium to medium rare which we prefer. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly and no delay on meat service. As we were finishing the table behind us, also with a spring water bottle received their bill and quickly asked why they were charged for water. He did his best to explain and dissolve the situation. Took a little while to get the check sure enough charge for spring water$7. Honestly was just glad it wasn’t $20 or higher. I don’t know if the lady who I’m pretty sure is a manager was having a bad day but just left a bad taste in our mouths, no pun intended. When we initially got our drinks I wasn’t given a straw so I asked and she said “not on me but I can get you one” like I was putting her out. Then I simply asked about the water and why she didn’t tell us upfront to which she said “hey, we’re salesman.” She came back with a cap for the untouched bottle. Been to this location 4 or 5 times and never had a negative experience. It’s funny how one person and a few snobby actions can change a whole experience. Probably be a while before we go back.

   My husband works nationwide. We visit every Fogo we can. Albuquerque is so fortunate for this jewel of the city. The leadership of this particular restaurant is stellar. They strike the balance of adherence to corporate values and manage to make it feel like a local spot at the same time. Highly recommended to locals and tourists.

   Worst experience I've ever had. Came to celebrate my wives birthday Sat at the bar before our table was ready and had the worst drinks I've ever had, not sure what was up with that. We were then seated and neglected for 30 minutes before being brought any food which was just sides, we were never given plates for the meat to come around and no one was able to help us. Face the bartender another chance and ordered simple margaritas and they were literally disgusting, couldn't even finish them. We sat there just waiting before we finally left and went across the street to Cheesecake Factory, which was very good btw. Not sure what was going on, but I had planned this special night ahead of time and it was all for nothing. Worst experience I've ever had.

   We came later on a weeknight. Lesson learned. Got the full experience. They circulated a very limited number of meats with the tougher sirloin cuts being most of the offering. The pineapple was chopped and burned. The salad bar was wilted and a bit sad. Not at all the normal Fogo experience.

   We have been several times and it’s always great! We felt like the meats weren’t coming around quite as often as normal but that’s to be expected I guess for a Tuesday evening. It was still delicious and a truly wonderful experience. We love this place. A bit pricey but definitely worth it!

   This operation has degraded since opening. Prices are very high compared to average food quality. Staff is very friendly but struggle with follow through. Would no longer recommend.

   The experience was excellent. The food was great. The South America. Wines were fabulous. The service and attention that they give each customer is outstanding. Not to mention they had a good DJ who played a variety of music genres. I would recommend Fogo de Chao to anyone who enjoys excellent food and service with South American service.

    This was for a Thursdays event and the reservation didn’t have much details , neither were given when arrived. But there was a DJ and had two tables for wine that you need it to get up and go tot he table the appetizers were great and good table presentation . The wagyu steak was ok.
