   This is my Second time here I come back because the service and Food is exceptionally good. And I like the drink with the frozen pineapple in it!

   This was the first time we dined at Fixin's Soul Kitchen Detroit. Upon entry, we loved the blackness everywhere from the pictures to the books to the patrons. It was busy however, not packed. I received my food before I received my sweet tea and separate shot of whiskey. That threw me off... The greens were a little spicy. Other than that, the food was great!

   A restaurant! I'm so glad I decided to go. I loved everything about it from the food, the service and most of all the black vibe. I'll be back often!

   Well this my second time here my waitress was kind of sassy I forgot her name also she came back to the table one time and that was to get are order it was a Saturday so I was assuming cause she had a lot tables heyyy . My food was good my fried chicken delicious and collard greens the best but my Mac and cheese and yams was not good yams was dry like they was sitting out and the Mac and cheese has a not so chesssy taste

   The food at Fixins was excellent, seriously, the collard greens, mac and cheese, catfish, and fried green tomatoes were all on point. Everything was flavorful and clearly made with care. Unfortunately, the experience was completely soured by the wait staff. After spending $160, I wanted to treat my best friend to another drink, and instead of being welcomed, we were rudely told that we had been there for two hours and needed to leave. The way it was said was embarrassing and totally uncalled for, especially considering we weren’t being loud or disruptive in any way. I understand there might be a two-hour seating policy, but there's a way to communicate that respectfully and this wasn’t it. The tone and attitude made me feel like my presence wasn’t appreciated, and honestly, it made me not want to return. Fixins has great food, but the service really let it down for me.

   My first time visiting, but will not be my last. We ordered shrimp & grits, gumbo, fried pork chops with candied yams and rice, and chicken and waffles. Appetizers were fried green tomatoes and fried deviled eggs. When I say all the dishes were excellent to a tee, I mean that. My only suggestion is that the tomatoes were a little salty. Scale back on the salt. Verdina and the young lady with the nose ring and head wrap were super courteous and efficient in their service. Again, a great experience and I will be back. We were there on Saturday at 11 AM and it wasn't busy yet.

   The service was great, I highly recommend the Kool -Aid 10/10. The oxtails was a 10/10 everything was delicious.

    This was our second visit and we were celebrating my husband's birthday. There was 8 of us and we were seated fast, food came out quickly and was amazing! It's a great place to dine for any special event or just if you want great food and service.
