   We celebrate birthdays in our family at Firebirds and unfortunately, Firebirds missed the mark today. I made a reservation for 1pm today for a birthday lunch for my brother in law and our waiter was quite rude. My receipt says our server’s name is Chris but I am not certain since he did not introduce himself. He was rushing us and didn’t let us get a sentence out without interrupting. The restaurant was quite empty therefore I am not sure why the urgency. He had terrible customer service skills and should probably not be in a customer facing position. Additionally, in my reservation I added details regarding my brothers birthday and nothing was done. I had to remind the waiter and he did not let me finish and said no one told him about it and he had no clue. He immediately said “I can get you cheesecake bites on the house but that’s it.” I did not want anything for free and just wanted to make my brother’s birthday special. I will need to reconsider another place for our birthday celebrations. I was really turned off by the treatment given today.

   My brother and sister-in-law were in town, and I wanted to take him out for his birthday at a place not available to where they live. He loves a good steak, and that's exactly what he got - actually a GREAT steak. Everyone was very pleased with their meal, the ambiance and experience.

   Everything our group of 12 had was amazing. At least 5 people ordered the ribs and they were scrumptious. Firebirds even came by with warm wet towels to help clean sticky fingers from the sauce. I had the salmon which was prepared to perfection. Sides yummy too… we ordered onion rings and shrimp/lobster dip and tortilla chips which were a hit too. This is not a cheap eats restaurant, but we all left completely satisfied and well cared for!

   We had an excellent dinner at Firebirds. Our server was amazing. Very attentive without being too attentive. The entire staff was great. And the servings were very generous. It was a little loud but there was a playoff game going on so that could have been part of it or people were just enjoying themselves so much.

   The steaks were not seared and it was poorly grilled. We went for a nice steak and it was a big disappointment.

   It was our first time to Woodfire, Justin was our server and had a trainee who he turned our table over to. For the most part she did well, there were a few hiccups but they made it right. Overall was a good experience and would return.

    The food and service were excellent. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and they gave us some cheesecake to celebrate. Our server Kyndra was excellent. The Lobster Queso was delicious. We had brunch so we both had the Salmon Benedict which was also delicious. We would recommend this location for brunch. The restaurant has a nice ambiance feeling.
