Unfortunately this time attending Fire and fork was very disappointing. We have been many times in the past since you had opened and we have loved it and kept coming back however this time we won’t be coming back. Our table was booked for 7:30 and we didn’t have our main meal until 9:10 and when the food did arrive it was very disappointing. The meat was dry and taste less the loaded fries with beef on top was dry and not able to eat it. As a table of 8 most of us had burgers and we could have had better ones from spoons for a lot of the price. Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Myself and friends go out for meals once every month & we always travel to new places. This one was by far the worse we’ve ever eaten at. We arrived at 7 and was told we could not order until 730. We were shown to our table where we ordered some mocktails, there was no menu or prices for these - only a wine menu. 735 our server came over and took our orders. We asked for the starters to be bought out with mains. 820 our starters are bought out on there own. We thought no way were we waiting that long for just the starters! So we spoke to server about it. 30 mins later our mains came out. Meat Uncooked, unseasoned, the loaded fries were burnt and I mean actually black on some bits, The burger buns were solid, mince in the burgers tasted like water and were grey in colour. We had it all sent back and went to McDonalds. Not sure if it was the manger but she was an absolute gem, funny, friendly, polite - just overall people skills were brilliant. She is wasted at that place and needs to aim higher as she would be a credit to to another business. If they don’t get a chef who can actually cook then that place won’t be there for long, travelled all over the country and I’ve never once sent food back. Very very disappointed

The amount of food was very poor the burger didn’t come with chips this was added as a side which made it £25, the steak sharer was ok there was only 1 piece of steak between 2 certainly not enough to share over all service was poor we waited well over an hour for the mains

First time here and will definitely return, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent! The burger we had was probably the best I’ve ever tasted and the ox cheeks were so tender you didn’t need a knife,a little bit more expensive than we’re used to but well worth it 👍

We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Two of us ordered the fillet steak—one was cooked well, but the other was completely inedible and very chewy. The person who received the poor-quality steak took just two bites, both of which were spat out and discarded in a tissue. When the waitress returned, we explained the situation and made it clear that none of the steak had been consumed. The waitress kindly offered a free glass of wine as a gesture, which was accepted. However, when the bill arrived, we were shocked to see that the full cost of the inedible steak was still included. Upon questioning this, the waitress said she could offer 25% off the steak, which we felt was unfair given that none of it had been eaten. We explained that we were happy to pay for the wine but not the steak. After some back and forth, they reluctantly offered a 50% discount, but the whole exchange felt awkward and unnecessary. What was particularly frustrating was that the manager never came out to address the issue directly, leaving the waitress—who was not at fault—to handle a situation that clearly required managerial input. Overall, the experience left a sour taste. Being asked to pay for a meal that wasn’t consumed is unacceptable, and the way the issue was handled was unprofessional. We won’t be returning.

The food was absolutely gorgeous and the service was very friendly, however there was a mix up and there was around a 40 minute delay between our first and main course. We weren't rushing so the length of the delay is partly our fault for not speaking to staff however we'd been there for so long someone came to offer us the dessert menu before we'd even had our main course. Apologies were offered and we had a slight reduction to our bill because of the error. We would definitely return.
