Located in Midtown Village, Libertine is Derek Davis’s contribution to the Philadelphia food scene and celebrates the history and future of our great city. Chic, sophisticated and playful, the indoor dining and bar area with seasonal outdoor seating running along the entire length of the property at Spruce and 13th Streets. The contemporary American menu is planned seasonally around what is available and freshest at the markets and complimented by scratch specialty concoctions, 20 wines by the glass, and a significant handful of local craft beer. “Good Eating, Drinking and Fine Hospitality” is served every night of the week and brunch on the weekends.

Underwhelming. Food temperatures were lukewarm. Small appetizer portions for the cost. My cocktail was ok but the shot of prosecco it came with was flat. The restaurant is connected to a hotel so you have to go to the basement level of the hotel which is desolate to use the restrooms. Unlikely I will return but if I do it will be for cocktails and calamari during happy hour.

Went for brunch. Menu was relatively small, but the food was delicious and the portions were very large. The fried chicken and waffles was quite good! Would definitely go back for dinner!

Everything was good except the crème brûlée corn. The sugar was not bruleed and was coarse. The oxtail was amazing. As well as the drinks, calamari and mini crab cakes.

I was not pleased with the quality of food I received, nor the service. Although our server was very nice it was apparent she was stretched pretty thin waiting various tables and appeared to be the only server on shift. The food was tasteless, we ordered several different appetizers and all was subpar, very bland in seasoning, small portions for the price, and cold. I had to send several items back because they were cold. The only item on the menu that was seemingly okay was the Crab Bisque Pot Pie. The other downside is the restroom is shared with the hotel next door. Overall, I will not patronize this establishment again as it did not meet my expectations.

Cute and swanky restaurant. Service was super slow! Bartender didn’t know how to make the drinks we had to send our drinks back. I love to have an awesome Restaurant experience, but it didn’t happen here.
