   Our server Skylar was fantastic. We were delighted to have one of the sommeliers as our server and Her knowledge and suggestions were great all across the board. We will definitely be stopping in next time we are in Scottsdale.

   Had a superb experience at Fat Ox. The food was some of the best I have ever had. The server Krissi, was an absolute professional and did an outstanding job. I would recommend this as a must dine place for Scottsdale. Next time I'm in town, I will absolutely have a special night there.

   Not as good as the first time I went to this venue. It’s a good place make no mistake. The music is just droning on and on not good.

   Entering the restaurant I was expecting at the least a really good experience. The layout and level of lively conversation is popping. The service from Luke was outstanding, but the food was a total disappointment.The 25 layer lasagna was ridiculous. When the server placed it in front of me I almost said, “Wait…I ordered the lasagna!” The portion was small, looked like mush, was bland, had a small amount of jarred or canned sauce on the side and was topped with very salty broccolini. I was shocked. At any price this dish is shameful. My wife ordered the 8 oz. filet. It was also very salty, and covered in a sauce that overwhelmed the flavor of the beef. I didn’t read any reviews about this restaurant, until after we left. It overwhelmingly gets positive reviews. I absolutely concur with the less than favorable reviews that report the same issues. I’m not trying to stab this place in the heart, but they stabbed me in the wallet and left my trip to Scottsdale with a bad taste in my mouth. If you dine here, read the reviews afterwards. I hope my review isn’t an”I told you so.”

   I’m so sad that we had such a bad experience. The food was cold, every dish was underwhelming and the service was not great. The manager did come over an apologize but it was disappointing. My husband and I LOVED eating here before COVID but I think it’s gone down hill. They do however have an incredible wine list and sommelier which was fantastic but overall not great.

   We were seated at an end table of a room near the wine refrigerators so the noise level was very tolerable. Anthony was our server and he was professional and friendly. We each enjoyed a different specialty cocktail and three appetizers among four diners: telaggio whipped ricotta, veal meatballs, and burrata. The cheeses were decadent and very fresh. We then shared two of the smaller portioned pastas (garganelli with Parmesan and black truffle butter and gnocchi with wagyu beef cheeks) and a full order of the brick chicken, which was superb and beautifully carved on a wood platter with accoutrements The sommelier helped me choose a bottle of Sea Smoke Ten Pinot Noir (over a Kosta Browne Pinot Noir also from Sta Rita Hills) that had a lively but balanced structure with a velvety finish. Anthony lingered over our table in an attentive manner and didn’t rush us. A great night out.

   Went to their Grand opening years back. They have taken this Resturant to the next level. it is Awesome all the way from the front door to the time you leave. The staff is excellent and the food choices are great, great specialty cocktails and wine list.

   The food and service were very good. However, I think a restaurant is pushing it when after paying $68 for a steak, adding extras and dessert that there is a charge for a coffee refill That’s offensive.
