Named after Fanny Brice—the legendary movie, vaudeville, theater, and radio star portrayed by Barbra Streisand in her Oscar®-winning role in Funny Girl (1968)—the striking two-story, 10,000-square-foot space, conceptualized by the late architect Osvaldo Maiozzi, features a chef-designed open kitchen, elegant bar, and captain-based service style that nods to a bygone era, and offers diners cuisine by Chef Jun Bum Oh, with the support of Chef Eric Klein, SVP Culinary for Wolfgang Puck Catering. Another fabulous night at the Academy Museum and Fanny’s for dinner and a movie. The chicken dish is so good and hearty with carrots and mashed potatoes. The Chinese chicken salad is delish too.

Dinner and a movie doesn’t get any better starting at Fanny’s. Lovely, friendly service and good food. And some of the best fries in LA!!!

We were there at noon on a Saturday for lunch. The restaurant was not busy at all. Service was inattentive, portions were small, and the prices were very high.

I love this restaurant and it's within walking distance of several museums. The decor is minimalist, but it still feels warm and inviting. The service was excellent as was the hospitality of the manager. My friend and I had a lovely lunch and they provided her a birthday treat to celebrate her birthday. The French fries were amazing. However, I don't think I ordered the right dish. The jadori chicken was a little too fatty for my taste, although the potato mouselline and carrots were excellent. Next time, I am trying the burger or quiche. Check this place out -- great for lunch, brunch, or dinner.

Another great night at Fanny’s. Dinner before a screening tonight. So much fun — the staff is friendly and goes put of their way to make sure you’re enjoying yourself. Always look forward to going there.

We have only been to Fanny’s one other time this year which is unusual for us as in previous years we were here more often. Tonight we were reminded of what we’ve been missing! Came early so that we could attend a screening at 7:30, and thus provided ourselves enough time to enjoy the always delicious cocktails and to share the always fresh and delicious simple salad, accompanied by their amazing focaccia with their garlic Boursin whipped butter. I had the delicious beef strips medium rare with great, crispy, seasoned fries and pasta with lobster. I topped off my steak with a glass of Nebbiolo! Everything great, and served by the charming, courteous and professional Ryan! We will be back sooner than later!!!
