Our authentic BBQ starts in a live-wood smoker stoked with genuine hickory logs. Our pitmasters hand-rub the meats with a custom blend of spices and cook for hours to extract the natural flavors. We source the highest quality meats and trim them up like we’re in a competition and hand-rub them with the freshest seasonings available to create mouthwatering experiences! Didn’t have reservations but seated us first at a table that didn’t fit party size then moved us to a bigger table. Food was what you expect from Famous Dave’s standard.

We made reservations and when we got there our table was ready. This was our first time going to the restaurant. We just moved from California to Las Cruces and the food it's very tasty we really enjoyed going there.

We made a 7:30 reservation and they still made us wait 20 min to be seated. People who arrived after us were being seated before us. Hostess had a little bit of an attitude when we brought it to her attention. Once we were seated, the service was much better and the food was excellent.

This place is great!!!! The food was delicious and more than we could ever eat. The value was terrific. Our waiter was great. We pass through each year on our way to CA and always eat at Dave’s on N Mesa. We love it!!!

OK so the only thing that saved this place was the food. Now I recognize that we were there on New Years Eve and that probably played into what happened but great places know how to anticipate the crowd or they limit their exposure. Apparently Famous Dave's did neither. We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation time of 7. They took about 10 minutes to seat us so not too bad to start. Then the fun started. Our waiter was very nice and very polite but was not really prepared to deal with the size of our party (7). He had to be constantly reminded of drinks, orders, etc. Then the kitchen was CLEARLY not ready for the onslaught of orders they received. The restaurant was crowded but what bogged everything down was the orders to go. They were behind by an hour when we arrived and it only got worse as we waited and waited and waited and waited. Finally, at 2hours we said we either needed to just share whatever food they had ready for us or we were leaving. They finally brought out the food and it was some of best BBQ I have eaten (and being from Texas originally that is a lot of BBQ). So the take home message here, DON'T go on a holiday, but do go for the food!

I made a reservation for eight people on December 31, 2018 at 5:00pm. Half of the people in my party received their order in a timely manner. The rest of the people in our party received their food about 25 minutes later. When the food finally arrived (and half of my party was finished eating) I was told by the waiter that the food was late because they ran out of pork. I asked the waiter why he didn't tell me that when I ordered so I could order something else and what that had to do with the cheeseburger my niece ordered being so late. The waiter provided no response. The side dishes were cold and were not very good (not as described in the menu). I used to like Famous Dave's but this experience was unacceptable and I WILL NOT GO BACK!

I took 6 family member to Texas Road House and the wait was 45 minutes. Aside from the wait, the noise level was way above what I deem suitable for a family dinner. We went to Famous Dave's and we are glad we did. The food was excellent, the price was right, and I could hear my family loud and clear despite there being other people in the restaurant.

The restaurant was excellent the hostess sat us down right away and the waiter Alan was exceptional we told him we were going to the movies after the meal and we needed to hurry and man was he on top of it he quickly got our order and it was brought to us correctly and super fast. He was also super friendly and nice! A+ service on his part!
