From Chef Srijith Gopinathan and restaurateur Ayesha Thapar, the creators of Ettan, Copra and Little Blue Door, Eylan offers seasonally-driven Cal-Indian cuisine centered around a wood-fired grill, with thoughtfully sourced produce and a variety of proteins cooked over the embers and served alongside clever riffs on traditional breads from different regions of India. The bar program by West-Bev and Christopher Longoria draws upon the kaleidoscope of ingredients and techniques that make up global cocktail culture, while also taking inspiration from the culinary traditions of India. Wine director Andre Sydnor's program offers depth in classic regions like Burgundy, Champagne, Piedmont, and California, offering a variety of options for casual wine lovers while including more exclusive selections for serious oenophiles.

We absolutely loved our dining experience here! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell the kitchen put so much care into every detail. The most special part of the evening was when the chef popped in to check on us personally. It’s rare to see that kind of genuine interaction, and it made the experience feel so much more personal. It was such a thoughtful touch that showed how much they care about their guests’ satisfaction. This is definitely a place we’ll be coming back to again and again. Highly recommend! Must try- celeriac and pineapple kebab , milk vale icecream

Fantastic food, service and decor. The Cured Hamachi was fabulous, the sesame leaf pakoda was great on its own. Lamb Seekh Kabab was perfectly done. The cocktails and dessert were awesome. Everything we tried had great flavors.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place truly stands out. The Indian food was one of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area, perfectly complemented by top-notch wine. Alex was an exceptional sommelier, elevating the entire experience. Highly recommend!

We were excited to try Eylan after lovely culinary experiences at the Taj Compton place and Copra. For week 1 of restaurant opening, service was very warm and attentive. It’s a very pretty space and makes for great pictures. It was however, extremely noisy! Such a din that you couldn’t hear the person you were dining with. We were celebrating a special event here, but will have to have a do-over somewhere more conducive to conversation. The food itself is solid, but not very memorable. I wouldn’t go back in a hurry, but am open to being surprised the next time.

The food was excellent! As a sister restaurant to Kopra in SF, the culinary experience certainly lived up to its billing when it came to food quality and flavors. The portion sizes were just right and left the restaurant very satiated. The negatives were the noise level - it was loud enough that we could not really have a conversation and I had a hard time hearing the server explain the dishes in the menu. The service was also a bit spotty - had to wait more than 15 minutes for me to be able to get a refill of water - at a top level eatery I expect a more attentive staff. Overall, I rate this experience highly and will certainly be going there again.

Amazing curation of the both the food and beverages menu. The Wagyu though had a more than generous spice rub - overpowered the natural flavours of the Wagyu. The Mutabar (crab), the Crispy Chicken, The Shrimp, the Taro Chat, the Anar Chicken Kebab, were all juicy and delicious - especially with the accompanying chutneys and sauces.

If you want authentic Indian food, great cocktails and excellent desserts, this is the place to be. It's great for a family/friends dinner. There's so much on the menu that you want to order lots to try. It's a treat for non vegetarians but there's plenty for vegetarians too and equally delicious if not more. Poee platter, Ricotta kebab, Lamb kebab with Roomali roti, Paanch saag and milk cake ice cream are my favs.

The ambience as soon as you get in, is good. It feels like lot of heart has gone in making this place. However, once you get seated and look around, it settles in that there are too many tables closely put together. I didn’t like that people were sitting so close to me while eating my food. Once food starts coming in, we also figured out that the tables are small and the serving plates are too ordinary and large for small portions of food that they were dishing out. We just couldn’t fit our drinks and food in the small table for 4 occupied by 3 people. Finally, the food was ok and not really mind blowing. We ordered everything vegetarian and had to ask the server to specify the vegetarian items as the menu did not specify it clearly. The best items were their pani puri and masala chai dessert. Rest of the dishes in between these were very ordinary tasting and just did not have any flavor. Overall, I was very disappointed with the entire experience. Being a Ettan and Copra regular, I was looking for something far much better at Eylan. Further, I would suggest Eylan to confirm that there dishes are vegetarian when diners ask for it by marking it as vegetarian in their menu.

Great food and good service. I ordered mainly fish and meat dishes. The wood fire items are rich in flavor and I suggest pairing with bread or rice. Appetizers are great - hamachi and crispy chicken. Dessert (masala chai sundae) was also very good and not overly sweet. I have left a more detailed review with pictures on Yelp.
